  1. Yes I still get excited…. Last night, I was getting my poles ready, putting line conditioner on, rigging some of them with what I want to start with. Counting all the fish I haven’t caught yet …. Haha
  2. Good luck, I’m up too, looking at the weather….. debating if I’m going to head out in the rain or not. Supposed to get some lightning early.
  3. I use culprit, watermelon red flake core, I bought I first pack on a whim because they were on clearance at Walmart. I keep a couple packs on hand now.
  4. My grandparents, they raised me. First it was trout, we would go camping at the lake and that got me started. It was all over from there.
  5. I’ve always did the best with poppers, but I’ve got some whopper ploppers on order…. We’ll the knock offs but I’d thought I’d give them a try.

  8. I do that too. Been putting a bug or creature bait on a weighted fluke type hook and work it along the bank or as close to the Lilly pad line that I can get.
  9. Nice catch what did you catch it on
  10. Kudos to you for taking the time to help. Some people, like the one the left the line, would have just walk by and went fishing. thanks
  11. No Way! That’s not good hopefully it will turn up after you get re-organized.
  12. Nice fish, congratulations…. I’m guess in the 4-5 lb

  18. Here’s my 2 cents, for what it’s worth…. skill comes with my accuracy in the cast, to put it in just the right spot, to skip it under that low hanging limb, pitch it the bucket size hole in the Lilly pads. Tying the right knot, how to rig you baits, Texas, wacky or what ever presentation you use. Experience comes when you fished long enough to know where and when you caught fish before, even though it’s a different body of water…lake, river or where ever your at. Luck… is when you catch a double digit pound bass instead of the two pounder that is hiding under that log. Which by the way I’ve never been that lucky. Just a tad over 5 lb for me.. So the more you fish the better your skills get, the more you fish the more experience you get, the more you fish the better chances you have of catching fish. And after years and years of all theses factors you get addiction and then your a full fledge fisherman…… always honing your skills, going out to get more experience and hoping Lady Luck let’s you find and get a solid hook set on the holy grail of fish…..that 25 pound Big Mouth Bass.
  19. Ohhhh!!!!!…… you’ve got the boat glimmer twinkle in your eyes…. There’s no turning back now ……. Many of men have have been beckoned by sirens.
