I don't care for either team, but I have to go with USC in this one. Hopefully it will be a good game though.

I am pretty disappointed in my team. I thought this might be the year they turned things around. I expected more from the defense. Hopefully, they will settle down and get better before the end of the season. I would be ecstatic to see them finish 8-8.

I always just use a fish hook to clean out the eyes on my jigs. This is for store bought jigs with paint over the eyes, I don't make my own jigs.

If price is not a factor I would go with a Calcutta TE 300 or 400. I recently picked up a used 300 TE, and it is an amazing reel. A Curado 300, Cardiff 300 or 400, or Calcutta B 300 or 400 would be much cheaper but still great choices.

I voted black album just because I only own two Metallica albums (black album and st. anger) and prefer the black album. I have heard most of the older stuff but have not listened to any of the entire albums. I have mp3's for most of the older stuff and it is better.

I have a 6'6" ML Triumph that I have been beating up for a couple years now. It sees a lot of use and abuse and keeps on going. I would not hesitate to buy another one, but I have not fished any other rods in this price range. My only complaint is that the reel seat occasionally comes unloose.

Murray State University in Murray, KY has a bass fishing club. One of the schools in NW Tenn has a team too, I think there is a BR member on the team (Austin Peay or UT MArtin I think)

I use a Stradic 2500 and Loomis GL2 783. Great combo and very versatile.

I have bought my last few on ebay. I have gotten good deals and been very happy.

I usually wear my old New Era 5950 Atlanta Braves hats. These are some of the most comfortable I have ever worn and once they start getting sweat stained and dirty they become fishing hats.

Glad to see you put the Triumph on your list. That rod seems to get a lot crap but I really like mine. It is a very good rod for the money. The Daiwa Exceller is a great spinning reel for under $100. When I bought mine at Cabela's recently I looked at every reel in its price range and I think it is the best, and I'm a Shimano guy. Good post, BTW.

You could probably find a used Ambassadeur 4600 for around $50. Good quality reel that can take a beating and last a longtime. Plus parts and upgrades are abundant. Those Trions feel like good reels but I have never fished one.

Sharp looking reels. Have you handled the Curado D's? I am just curious how hey feel compared to the D's. I know there is a size difference but other than that do these feel like better reels? I like the Curado D's and probably won't get one of these unless they are just that much better. I will get a Citica though.

I occasionally use Suffix 30# on my Stradic 2500 with no problems. I would recommend either Suffix or Powerpro, I personally don't care for Spiderwire or Fireline but that is just my opinion.

6' M 2pc. Ugly stick with a cheap Abu Cardinal Spinning reel and 14# Trilene XL. This was my first spinning rod and what got me hooked on bass fishing. I sold it a few years ago when I started upgrading all of my equipment.

Keep the Calcuttas and ditch the quantums. OR Keep the quantums and give me the calcuttas, whichever you prefer. ;D

Thanks for your replies guys. I got to looking some more and does appear to be coming from the door speaker. Since it is coming from the speaker is there anything I can do about it?

I do for my shallow to medium cranking, which is about all the cranking I do. When I start throwing more deep divers I will invest in a good cranking specific rod. If it's working for you now I wouldn't mess with it.

I have an 06 GMC Sierra, and I was wondering if anyone knows where the buzzer is that sounds when you have the door open and keys in the ignition? This thing is getting on my nerves and I want to take it out. It sounds like it is in the door but when I had the door panel off awhile back I don't remember seeing it. Any ideas?

Does it come with a large rear spoiler, neon lights, and a coffee can exhaust? ;D ;D It is a sharp looking reel though.

My "go to" rods are a Loomis MBR783C IMX (casting) and Loomis SJR783S GL2 (spinning).
