  1. I guess I didnt think about that too much. To me braid looks like a long stick in the water and I would rather the bass see a big school running by than first seeing the line. 20lb was going to be my max but im worried it will snap.
  2. Shoot that my way as well
  3. Who does it and what is the lightest line you go? Also what is lightest weighted rig you use with it? Last time I used 65lb braid I felt like it scared fish off because of the water clarity.
  4. An old rapala fat rap ( fr-5) in brown crawdad color. I only have two of them but they have caught smallies almost everywhere I have thrown them.
  5. What gear ratio do you use? A few seconds of 5:4 is different than a few seconds of 7:1 or 8:1 depending on IPT. You should feel the weight of the fish and slam it home.
  6. My high end rods are dobyns and my filler rods are fenwicks.
  7. ive seen this design before the biffle design was released. Not sure of the name.
  8. try pumpkin senkos.
  9. megabass xpod. robo worm for finesse stuff. Zoom trick worms catch fish.
  10. Using a lower gear ratio on all crankbaits is a good idea. It lets the bait stay in the strike zone longer. Im no Rick Clunn so I wouldnt be as efficient with a 6:4 ratio, also that is 1 guy out of how many elite series pros.
  11. My dad has a craftsman compressor valued at over $400 that came with $100 worth of nailers that he got for $150 on sale. Its a 5gal tank I believe. We have a 25 or 30 gal in the garage. It may even be bigger than that idr.
  12. Maybe form it in wood or foam and then make a negative and from there create the actual mold. I literally have no idea but at least it is a start.
  13. Costs me $20 to ship a rod. Include the shipping price in the price of the rod. I've never bought a rod tube. Go to your local tackle store and ask if they have any extra rod tubes. I know my boss keeps some in the back in the event he has to send a rod in for warranty.
  14. When you purchase 30 shakey heads and the ice hasnt even come off yet.
  15. BF4 ghosts is an awful game. Call of duty has went to crap in the past few years. Personally i would rather buy all of the map packs for bf3
  16. Was it a mistake on their part? Theyre already on sale and now its even lower?
  17. That lakes doesnt look like it has much in the way of docks and other structure that bass enjoy in the summer. Your best bet is to buy some minnows and some night crawlers and throw them on a bobber. It really is a a fool proof way to catch fish. If you want to use some artificial baits I would suggest a wacky rigging a senko. Ive caught hundreds of summer time bass on a wacky rigged senko and kids of all ages can use it because it doesnt require any skill. There is a bunch of info on how to fish senkos here > http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/12401-senko-faq-%C2%A0look-here-first/ but what you need to see is this > http://heartland.ehclients.com/images/Senko.jpg which is the wacky rig. All you need to do is cast it out and wait for the line to swim away. You can buy cheap senkos here> http://www.overstockbait.com/Yamamoto-Senko-p/9-10.htm . I would wait for more colors to come in, green pumpkin or watermelon are the most common and successful. Boat Control Make sure you turn off your big motor (gas) before you enter the area you want to fish. Some rented boats dont come with anchors so I suggest making an anchor from a coffee can , concrete, rope, and some sort of a hook or u bend metal.
  18. call them and ask which is their most popular model for jerkbaits. I believe it is the 634cb or 635 .
  19. I would just get 4 advantage spinnerbaits. The blades are interchangeable and so are the skirts. 1/4 , 1/2, 3/8 , 3/4. Gill, white, gizzard, chart white. Just keep extra blades and skirts so you can mix and match. You can have 4 spinnerbaits that service multiple different purposes just by having extra skirts and blades on hand.
  20. "Kopper Kopper live target " Catches as many fishermen as it does fish" . In all seriousness they are good lures I just think they can be out fished by simpler things. To respond to your post. 5 poles ready to go. 1. Crankbait 2. jig 3.spinnerbait 4. topwater 5. finesse - senko
  21. first off I suck at offshore bass fishing. What I did learn is that it all relies on your ability to interpret a map or sonar. If you can find the humps or ledges you can find the fish.
  22. buying a small mouth rod for jerkbaits. might buy the hmg for shad raps
  23. May not be 100% new but i've got someone that would be willing to sell it to me used when the time comes. But Im not the type of person to sell myself short.
  24. http://*.com/understand-lake-maps/ here you go
