The thing is, I don’t know where to buy a daiwa steez AGS rod other than from American tackle shops. None of the JDM retailers sell it as far as I can tell. Can you help me find one please? Also, that same YouTuber/tackle shop owner has said Daiwa will discontinue any products that don’t sell well after the price increases. 😔 I expect the steez AGS at $700 will be discontinued for sure. @Glenn or any other moderators, any chance you could move this to general bass fishing? I expect everything made in China to get price increases soon unless some kind of trade deal can be worked out. That includes rods, reels, line, lures, terminal tackle and anything else made in China.

Hey @Maverick2017 did you get to use your 7’3 mh Okuma x series? If so ow did you like it? What did you throw with it?

@SouthCoast Bassindo you have any experience with the Dobyn’s champ extreme, Okuma x series and expride b? I haven’t been able to find anyone who has used them all.

I use 3/8+ trailer on my 745 all the time. It’s my primary weight. Same with T-rigs. I think it’s perfect.

Some heads come through grass better than others. Some heads are made to stand up better than others. Plenty of people on here should be able to help. We have quite a few members who love jigs. Also, if you’re looking to buy jigs you won’t find a better product than what @Siebert Outdoors makes! Interesting. I’m a mostly hopper myself. I’m very curious what everyone else does.

So why did you mention the plastic clutch thumb bar as a downgrade from the current steez? I’m confused.

Ah, ok! I saw LW and thought Levelwind but then figured since these reels don’t have a LW it meant something else. My mistake!

Think a spunk shad would work well on a scrounger?

I use the 745 for 3/8oz jigs and T-rigs all the time and it’s great for that application.

What does LW stand for when you say “it lays a tight LW”? So as you’re reeling in you have to push the line left to right like a levelwind would?

Really? I used to love lucky craft pointers and other baits and thought the paint was great. It’s been several years since I’ve purchased one though, so maybe things have changed.

What rods are those in your post? Also, I’d say if the okuma guys are reading this or if @Glenn can tell them, they should expand the x series line and add a BFS rod or two!
