Ulterra TM cause I ain't as young as I use to be. Some type of shallow water anchor would be better than the mushroom anchor I had on my jon boat. Hummingbird Helix 10 for those times I'm not fishing shallow. And a ladder mounted on the back just in case.

When I take out my canoe it really depends on how long I'm gonna fish. If its just a few hours at the end of the day then I'll only take 2. One with a spinner bait and the other with a topwater frog. If I'm going out all day then I take 4. Spinner bait, jig/plastic, crankbait and 1 spinning rod/reel with a senko or drop shot rig.

I got a question. This is the 1st year I'm playing on 2 FF leagues. BR and TW. Can I set up two lineups or does the lineup I pick for one league have to be the same for the other league?

I like the version for braided line only. I use it on fluorocarbon with a mono lead and it brings the fish running.

I think if Rose or Suggs had picked up a drop shot or shakey head early on they would have done better. But both struggled and that made them question everything they were doing. Its amazing to watch a pro get spun out.

When I first heard the term "grease a pole" this is what I thought of.... Hey, it is Philly after all.

Current breaks come in many forms. Logs, big rocks, points, islands and sandbars just under the water can all create current breaks and "dead water". Dead water is the area just behind one of these current breaks where the water swirls back and creates an area where the current can get to. Its easy to find these places when the thing causing the current break can easily be seen like a log that's partly on the shore. Just look for things like leaves or foam that is caught in a place and doesn't move. That's dead water. The tough part is finding dead water when a rock or other object is under water and you can't see it. That's when you have to be able to feel the bait and the effects the current has on the bait so you will know when you get out of that current. Dead water is where you want to be fishing.

The local Nostradamus has looked into his crystal ball and says the nice weather is over after tomorrow morning and we go back to near normal temps. The Susquehanna river still has a thin layer of ice in most places. Luckily, the river level was lower than normal and the increased runoff from the snow melt only caused minor flooding in rural areas.

I read a more detailed article on it. The operator of the big boat said he couldn't see the smaller boat because he was sitting down while driving the boat. Doesn't make any sense to me. Even if you are sitting down that doesn't mean you can't see boats ahead of you.

I didn't know we had to declare countries. In that case, I'm all for Australia. Nothing wrong with a country where if the snakes, spiders and kangaroos don't kill ya, the birds that can't fly will.

I've gotten the flu shot every year since I was 21 and haven't gotten the flu since. But about 3 years ago I got a tetanus shot and the side effects put me down for 2 days. It was like having a really bad cold. 102 temp, chills, fever, nausea but its better than tetanus.

Sorry for the loss of a good friend. Its nice to know that your memories of your friend were enjoying the good times and the fishing you both loved to do. My prayers go out to you and the family of your friend.
