Finesse Jig question
This. It sinks a little slower also. Mr Eakins had the market cornered for a while.

First Foray Into the Dark Side (first JDM order)
Don't be surprised when a duty fee bill from fedex shows up in the mail.....usualky about 7-10 days after you receive your jdm rod.

Shimano Poison Adrena 7'2" Medium Casting
It has a 'regular' taper, aka moderate taper per Shimano. https://fish.shimano.com/content/fish/northamerica/us/en/homepage/Shimano_Product_Page.P-POISON_ADRENA_CASTING.html

Shimano Poison Adrena 7'2" Medium Casting
I thought it was a regular tapered rod for moving baits.

2017 tatula sv current but should I upgrade.
For 'mostly worms and jigs', I would go with the new Tatula 70 sv. The small size will make it easier to palm all day with you rod tip in the air.

Pit Boss vs bandito bug
It's crazy that the powerbait is cheaper than the rage bug. They want maxscent money for the bug.

13 Fishing- A Rapala/VMC Company
You learn something new every day I guess, but I'm surprised I had not heard this before. Luxxe is a maker of fine JDM rods and are owned by Gamakatsu....something that surprised me a few years ago. Just my random Saturday coffee drinking gossip. heard this

Bait Cast Reel Set Up : Pitching ?
I read an article probably 30yrs ago that informed me that for pitching, you turn your brakes completely off, and set your spool tension so that when your bait hits the ground you get no over-run. Me? I'm usually casting AND pitching, so however my reel is set for casting purposes is ususlly what I pitch with.

New to bass fishing. Looking for lures to start with
Some clear water baits that come to mind...Zara spooks/Lucky Craft sammies, jerkbaits, spro rock crawlers/wiggle warts, finesse jigs, and charlie brewer slider worms/grubs.

Need some finesse jig recommendations please
The Black Angel finesse jigs are probably the best value I've found. Hand tied skirt for $3.79. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Black_Angel_Lures_Finesse_Jigs/descpage-BKANFIJ.html

Golden shiner bladed jigs
I got them at cabelas....but it was like 2008. They hold up well, with a more substantial top portion. I'll be looking for some soon.

Latest Tackle Purchase Thread (Bait Monkey Victim Support Group)
Bombers....only thing I couldn't live without from the spring classic sale. Deep flat A's (right) 4A's (left). I ordered 2 of each color, but they were running short on a couple apparently....made my OCD act up!

BFS Casting Reel - Your Line Choice
6lb pline cxx or trilene xl depending on what bait I'm throwing. Surprisingly....both are .009"

I’m jonesing for a new rig for no good reason…
How about a JDM rod? Most exciting thing I've ever received in the mail....granted I'm a rod junkie.

The latest sale thread
FFO tackle has some bargains at the moment. I picked up several jerkbaits, power worms and grubs, and over 4000yds of Trilene XL. The 1000yd spools of XL are $10.88....330yds for $3.88. https://ffo-tackle.com/collections/fishing-line/products/trilene-xl-1285555

Can you re-bill a 110 ??
I have fixed a few cranks with broken bills. I use the circuit board lips and just glue it on top of the broken lip. If the lip is broken off flush and there is nothing to glue the new lip on....I don't have a fix for that.

13 fishing concept z reel
The price does sound steep...even for Canada. I have several Z's, and I feel they lived up to the hype regarding casting distance. Tackle Tour has reviewed the original (orange reel) and the current version. Both versions were well received. During the review of the OG, they put it up against the Curado K in a casting contest, and the Z was going 18ft further. Review... http://tackletour.com/review13fishingconceptzsldreel.html Here are mine...

Show off your Stuff
Are you using a jighead on the fluke? I just picked up some flukes....been a sluggo man for years.

Rig questions
I use carolina keepers....gives you the same effect. Only downside is having to run the same lb test for main line/leader. https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/carolina-keeper?hvarAID=shopping_googleproductextensions&ds_e=GOOGLE&ds_c=Shop|BPS|TopPerformers|Fishing&gclid=CjwKCAjwi6WSBhA-EiwA6Niokw6qflEPkv4mg58cIc-_uslWivhwyF4xOLu57A9frRAHzoc2xRr8GxoCQuoQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

Why are rod/reel sales numbers kept quiet?
If you are the top seller of a product, it's great advertising to let everyone know. The latest crest commercial brags that they are the best sellung toothpaste. Ford makes sure everyone knows the f150 is the best selling truck in America. Why don't tackle manufacturers do this?

Basic airbrush paint
I use the kandy's, neons, and graphic colors. $22-$24. They do have some ultra-high end stuff...
-
Golden shiner bladed jigs
One of my favorite colors! I used a smoke/gold flake split tail or fluke in goldfish for years. Trying out some new trailers this year.

When do you give up on a cast?
The last MLF event I actually watched, I watched Ike do this. His bait couldn't have even settled to the bottom before he stroked it....and then just reeled it back in. I figured he was just looking for eager bass....

Basic airbrush paint
I'm getting ready to buy another iwata and start painting again. I use the House of Kolor pre-mixed airbrush paints. A littl.e pricey, but each little bottle lasts a long time, and your baits will look amazing. https://tcpglobal.com/pages/house-of-kolor-ready-to-spray-individual-colors
