Banjo Minnow 006
Please read FAQs (top right on every page): I have a question about the Kicktail, Banjo Minnow, Doug Hannon Snake, Walking Worm lures, or the North American Fishing club Do a search on the name. There's plenty of posts about it, which will answer your question.

Trokar Hooks
Give them a try, Trokars are great hooks! I don't think you will give up your Gammies or Owner hooks, but the Trokar are outstanding. Another hook I really like, but never really took off, is the Diiachi XPoint. This is my favorite!

Favorite Trailer For Spinnerbaits
I bought some recently at Cabela's. Most online retailers carry a similar pattern. They may all come from the same manufacturer.

Terrible choice for topwater. Buy a copolymer or monofilament.

Knots For Jigs.
I like playing with different knots. Structurally, many or even most fishing knots have many similarities. Someone else can tell me if this one is REALLY new, but I think it is something you will find interesting. The Big O Knot is designed for braided or heavy fluorocarbon line. A primary goal is to provide 100% security when Big O sets the hook! I promise you this, if tied properly the knot will not break. This is a variation of the Pitzen Knot: http://www.orlandooutfitters.com/knots/knot.asp?id=12 The Big O Knot requires putting the tag end back through the eye of the hook one more time, just as you would do with a Palomar Knot. Bring the loop you created up next to the main line. Then wrap the tag end four times around the outside of the main line and the two lines of the loop. Start the wrapping from the bottom (nearest the hook) and work up. Finish the knot by threading the tag through the newly created top loop, moisten and tighten.

Can Any Seasoned Members School Me On The Manns Jelly Worm
Well, if you buy anymore, get the 12" version. The biggest catch in professional tournament fishing was 132.8 lbs caught exclusively on a 12" Mann's Jelly Worm. Constructive Science... Otherwise Known As Winter Boredom
My son-in-law is a Civil Engineer, currently working on an interstate project. Much of his work involves water issues, but some of it is railroad bed composition. I am not always sure what language he speaks. Did your school compete in the Concrete Boat Program? That was a lot of work, but it must have been fun, too. A few years ago the National Finals were in Knoxville, TN. The team from Seatlle spent a lot of time and money just to get to the event. An important aspect of the competition is that the canoe must float. Well, water density in Washington's colder environment is much different than here in Tennessee. The boat did not sink, but it didn't float either! I guess it turned into a Smithwick Rogue, suspending a few inches under water.

Lipless Crankbaits?
Two years ago on the RoadTrip at Pickwick Big O and our two soldiers caught 144 smallmouth the first day, during the flood. All the fish were caught on Rage Tail Baby Craws and Red Eye Shad. I still carry several brands and the XCalibur Xr50 has been VERY good to me. However, I haven't thrown anything but a Red Eye in two years!

Why Is It That.....
Always speak up to announce "This is my last cast." Then wait a minute or two and cast again...The fish think you're gone!
