Post a photo a day!
See now, the difference between A-Jay and me is fairly wide. We're only a couple months apart in age (another 59'er here). But where-as he took to rigorous exercise and kept to it...I was a computer geek and sat on my butt quite often for long periods of time. While I did SOME things that kept my arms and legs at least a bit toned (yard work mostly)...I do have a 'pony keg' and no-where near the endurance I had even 10-15 years ago.

Looking for a storage alternative
I'd say, 'Give it time' as that was only the 2nd season of using them...but I've moved all my 'hard' tackle to 3700 series...so those 3600s will probably stay near-pristine.

I need a Lews BB1Z anti reverse bearing
Check with Mike at Delaware Valley Tackle - link is in the bar to the right...he might be able to hook you up.

No fishing this spring/year?
I went out the other day for some shore fishing. Bass hasn't opened yet (May 9), so it was just for some panfish. We're allowed to go fishing, hunting, hiking, etc. so long as we maintain distance from our 'neighbors'.

Pulled one over on the wife.
It's the hook on the end that makes it a bummer.

A-Jay's 2nd Annual Ice Out / Open Water Countdown Thread ~
Anytime I see 'brownie', I think 'Brown Trout'...just a left over from my days of stream fishing for brookies, brownies and rainbows.

What Kind of Daiwa Brakes??
Yes. The lower end Diawas - Cx series, ect. - have magnetic brakes like all others in their price range...no different than what's on my President or President XT. Magforce-Z is an improvement on that and is available on Fuego and Tatula reels. The induction disk extends and retracts based on the speed of the spool - so the magnetic force varies during the cast...unlike standard magnetics where the force is the same at all points during the cast.

Scale
Just be sure to Tare-out the scale with the 'empty' grips hooked on. Then your weighing will be more accurate.

Scale
I was perusing around Amazon and found a few others that look identical. I think it's a generic and different people put their own label on it. https://www.amazon.com/Polychrome-Gear-Handheld-Digital-Measure/dp/B07M7L5HF2/ref=sr_1_51?dchild=1&qid=1586009632&s=sports-and-fitness&sr=1-51 https://www.amazon.com/Handheld-Measuring-Portable-Temperature-Multi-Function/dp/B07ZNTFFDP/ref=sr_1_75?dchild=1&qid=1586009694&s=sports-and-fitness&sr=1-75 https://www.amazon.com/Booms-Fishing-Digital-Weight-Measure/dp/B078NMTPRV/ref=sr_1_84?dchild=1&qid=1586009694&s=sports-and-fitness&sr=1-84 https://www.amazon.com/Portable-Electronic-Balance-Digital-Load50kg/dp/B07WRKB39X/ref=sr_1_109?dchild=1&qid=1586009749&s=sports-and-fitness&sr=1-109 https://www.amazon.com/Digital-Display-Portable-Electric-Tapeline/dp/B07FXT9NFK/ref=sr_1_134?dchild=1&qid=1586009778&s=sports-and-fitness&sr=1-134 And more

Ya, the only time I have cash is when I go to the laundromat. Stop at the Speedway, pull out $20, laundromat is across the street.

Here's what my 3600-series boxes looked like loaded (5x3620, 1x3650)

Looking for a storage alternative
Ya - the Edge box in 3600 size only has one variation...the standard setup. All the 'specialty' Edge boxes are 3700 size. I don't think you'll find a way to get that box in the pack. When I was running with a 3600 bag, I just used 3620 boxes. Even now with a 3700 size bag...I won't buy the Edge boxes...WAY too expensive for my budget. Prolatch 3700s and 3750s are what I use.

That works - only need .5mm of lead to stop Wi-Fi signals. If the end of that sleeve is open, it's not protecting the card...signal will go down the opening. If it's just mylar lined, that's great for anti-static...won't even slow down a Wi-Fi signal. You need some sort of metal...even close-spaced mesh will do it.

Scale
Ya - I like my mod because the gripper easily separates from the scale. Most I've seen, the gripper is integral to the scale. This way I can get the fish gripped without fumbling with the scale dangling off, then just hook it on. Yes, I tared the scale with the empty gripper on.

Daiwa Tatula XT 7'4" H frog casting rod vs Okuma TCS 7'3" H casting rod
I stay away from the auction site...had issues in the past. SO has them right now for $90 TD has them at regular price AL also has them at regular price.

Except that there are remote scanners that can read your chip from a distance...how do you think 'tap to pay' works? Get a shielded wallet...crooks can cruise the neighborhood and scan your chip from their car.

Local stations finally dropped to 1.999 a couple days ago. Couple stations in the area are at 1.599 - but the closest is 20 miles away from me.

How many have mostly abandoned the Ned Rig
Ya, heaviest I have is 1/10 and I usually fish it on my UL rig (Pres-25 (going to a Pres-20 this year), 6'6" UL/F rod, 4# YZH). If I want to go weedless...though I haven't had much issue with the standard mushroom head, I got some of the Gamy Offset Finesse heads in 3/32 Plastics: 2.75" TRD Worm, 3" TRD HogZ, 2.5" TRD Craw or 3" Slim SwimZ
