  1. When you’re fishing behind one or even two guys, pay attention to where they’re casting. Unless they fish like I do, barely using the trolling motor,‘there’s no way they can hit every spot as they move down the bank. Think positive, don’t make it hard on yourself by being negative
  2. That’s an unacceptable answer from the dealer. Very poor customer service. Have them call the people they buy the boat from and get an answer.if you can’t find out, don’t install the box. You don’t want to cut and find a support beam in the way
  3. You got a super deal. If you don’t already know, learn how to keep the blade sharp and sharpen it if it gets dull. It just takes practice. I have 49 cent bait knives that are razor sharp. There’s no need to spend a ton of money on knives
  4. If you’re happy with the results of your friend’s lure painting, why send it out? Let him paint it and see what it Looks like before he coats it. He can always wash it off and repaint it. Sending it out will be expensive. You’re going to pay shipping both ways, plus the cost of painting the lure
  5. I haven’t tried it on line that heavy but I use a Eugene knot It’s easy to tie and when you tie it correctly, you can feel it “pop” into place
  6. A stiffer rod will make it harder on you. Use a more flexible rod and use a lob cast. Let the rod do the work
  7. I use a 5/0 straight shank hook rigged Texas style with a 1/4 oz brass weight and an 8mm glass bead. Shaking it will make noise and the big worm will move water, letting the bass know it’s there. I’ve caught 10” spots on the big worm.
  8. USPS has increased their fees, just like everything else. Shipping a small flat rate box is over $10. If he’s shipping it that way, he’s asking $10 for the lure. You must not want it very badly
  9. Nice of you to help your friend get a bird. Hope you got one too. I’ll be going out this week. I’ll be hunting them with an airgun. I’ve gotten several each of the last few years, hope to keep the streak going. I breast them out and cut off the legs. I like them stir fried with snow peas, ****ake mushrooms, onions and ginger root
  10. It’s hard for me to not fish Shasta, even with the other lakes nearby. 40-80 fish days keep me coming back
  11. Save up more money. I wouldn’t use a credit card. You’ll be digging a hole you’ll never get out of
  12. I catch decent size strippers on top water when fishing the Delta. I’ve switched out some of the trebles to inline hooks. Bigger bite and a lot stronger than the trebles
  13. 5” paddle tail swim bait senko 6” spade tail worm Ned bait fluke no specific manufacturer as I make my own baits
  14. Have them change the impeller if it hasn’t been changed lately
  15. Get one and have fun
  16. The buzz jet throws a lot of water and Ive caught lots of fish on them. Both sizes work for smallies, spots and largemouth. I use the smaller one on calm days and the big one when there’s a breeze. Hope this helps
  17. Deps Buzzjet
  18. Brush clear nail polish over them to seal them in place
  19. The hook eye isn’t tall enough to go through a tube
  20. I use a weighed circle hook
  21. What is shallow to you? When they’re in less than 10’ of water,‘I use a weightless senko, or variation
  22. I make my own plastics and I have styles/colors that are available in stores. Are they secret baits? No. Anyone who fishes with me is welcome to use anything in the boat and if they want more that’s not a problem
  23. There’s been a lot Less pressure on the lake lately, as Fish & Wildlife has cancelled all the permits due to water conditions. Hope you have a great trip
