  1. My PB is 3.1 lb at 17 &1/4 inches. So 22 inches for some of the record fish sounds right to me.
  2. Cause I'm a big man that runs hot.
  3. Caught 27 Blues today dragging chicken.

Just TREATED myself to a good brisket sandwich, bake beans, and fries.
  5. I use SimpleGreen and water.
  6. Very nice.
  7. Are y'all talking about Spinning, Baitcast, or Spincast reels? I need to learn to cast a baitcaster.
  8. You could just cast with your other hand and eliminate the backhand cast.
  9. Yes. I fish the 8lb on 2 Aldebaran BFS's. It cast great and is small diameter line.
  10. Ohioguy25, the SDJ works great tied to a snap. On most of my big hard baits, I use Decoy Egg snaps. Once I install a snap, it's never removed from that bait.
  11. When casting chopping glides, I make alot of cast per hour, so I retie roughly every hour. I also start every trip with a fresh SDJ knot. If I catch a fish or pull hard in a snag, I retie. I fish 20 & 25 BG and 20,25, & 30 CXX.
  12. I can't give you a specific distance. I fish pressured clear open water and make longer cast. I've at times not been able to get a good hook set fishing straight 8 & 10 lb FC on ML & M rods with small T - Rigs. Probably just a lack of skill, technique, and strength.😀
  13. Welcome to the forum.
  14. Don't forget a 3/4 oz jigging spoon can be cast a long long way and is good for bait chasers.
  15. Bruiser Baits Da Big Nasty worm. It's not 15" , they're only 14.25".
  16. I go with 12 - 15 rods prerigged based on last week and last year.
  17. I still fish 10.5 - 15" ribbon tails during the warmer 6 months of the year.
  18. 50 - 75 more vertical spoon fishing spots
  19. I fish most topwater with mono, and I'd go with 14lb mono to cover the other techniques you listed. But I'm new to bass fishing, only 44 years of hunting them.
  20. I pull up the TM and make two 360's with my gas engine, before heading to my next spot. No need in speaking to them, but they understand how I feel. I believe that the folks that pull up on you like that, don't fish often.
  21. We turnover here in Middle Ga., usually around mid to late December per my records.
  22. I've lost multiple giants on big swimbaits. I just check the hooks and keep casting.
  23. I feel your pain on a busted dam.
