  1. Think quality and skill level more than rod type for strike detection.
  2. I’ve been on here a long time. I post less and less because I have all of the equipment that I will ever use and don’t keep up with the latest and greatest out there as well as all of the redundant posts that have been answered hundreds of times.
  3. Just curious. Do you guys call a Colorado and willow tandem? Here we call all of them tandem and differentiate by naming the blades.
  4. I use my Curado DCs for jigs mainly and in fairly clear water with lots of rocks. They are always spooled up with fluorocarbon line.
  5. Those are wood borer larvae.
  6. We can have 3 hooks. I use blades for the other two.
  7. I got one a few days ago and have been getting familiar with it. I typically use 15# braid with 10 or 12# fluorocarbon leaders. I normally do 16 wraps on each side. With the tool do you do the same wraps as you did without it? After you do the half hitch with the leader, do you tighten the knot like before the tool? How many half hitches do you put on? Do you use a risotto finish? As a side note I have had 5 hand surgeries and keep losing the leader so I made a tool to hold it. So far it is working.
  8. I imagine that it will be along later.
  9. I would do the hot water then lay them out on a towel to cool and dry. I cannot in-vision any thing good with an iron and plastisol.
  10. Anyone know anything about them?
  11. We had trips in your back yard yesterday though only 1 was a brown fish, 2 greenies and the rest spots.
  12. Anything in the Branson West or Kimberling City area will be a short drive to Branson. You might get in touch with the Branson, Branson West and Kimberling City Chambers of Commerce and ask for vacation brochures. Johnny Morris has Big Cedar Lodge down there with cabins.
  13. They weigh close to the same with the ulterra 10-15# heavier.
  14. I’d take a spot lock trolling motor over half a dozen power poles.
  15. I use the Gamakatsu hooks for swim bait heads and Neds.
  16. Find someone else. My neighbor and I fished together for the first couple of years after they moved in. Then when I asked him he had a viable excuse. I asked him again and he had a lame excuse. He didn’t get a third invite.
  17. With all of the hook companies and the variety of products I’m not sure you could get a complete list plus the number of jig makers on her probably isn’t going to be very large. Small Jaw, Cadman and Mike Seibert would be my people on here if I had hook questions. They have always stepped up and helped.
  18. I didn’t get a pic of fish that day. It was the 30th of December and all of our fish came on the Ned rig.
  19. This isn’t the first one but is one of the 8 smallmouth that I caught today.
  20. I looked at Pros Choice (largest Nitro dealer) web site. They normally beat everyone else. Rangers are still listing at $99,000.
  21. Sounds like you guys need to form some groups like AA. You could call it BJA (Bait Junkies Anonymous).🤑
  22. I haven’t used Shin’s knot but I have used many knots and the fg is the only one that hasn’t broken at the knot.
  23. None of that is happening here. Car lots have trucks and very few cars. Most around here thought there would be a glut of used campers and boats after Covid settled down. It hasn’t happened. I have never seen cars, boats or houses go down in price.
  24. It hasn’t begun around here yet.
