  1. Charlie Campbell, Dean Byrum, Steve Holland were all local fishermen a couple of them guides. All could do wonders with a Zara Spook.
  2. I hope that they have improved. When I was looking for some I tried everything that BPS carried. None of them were consistent so I ponyed up and bought Boga Grips.
  3. Since I am from MO, I will choose KC strip medium rare.
  4. My son in law takes it and has for several years. It is all that works for him.
  5. I don’t think I have changed. I’ve never suffered fools.
  6. Yes I have a lot. I generally do it vertically instead of horizontally.
  7. A regular cleaning with most any product like McGuires detailer or even Armor all will keep it off.
  8. A few years ago I ruptured a lung and broke 3 ribs. The ribs didn’t heal properly so I couldn’t stand the pain of pulling the trolling motor up. I had to have the Ulterra. At first I used the foot pedal. Then I bought a micro remote and hung it around my neck. I have gotten used to using it to control the trolling motor and rarely use the foot control any longer. The Ulterra can also be controlled from any of my Humminbird units. I believe that I would quit fishing before I would go back to foot control.
  9. Almost every trip I use a : Curado X70 on my custom 7.5’ medium rod for shaky Curado X70 on a Gloomis bronzeback ml for Ned Curado 150 DC on a Gloomis 7’ mh for jigs or spinner baits. The other twenty some have a variety of jobs.
  10. Good for you. One that reaches that size should be kept in the gene pool.
  11. None of the lakes that I fish are quiet. My quiet place is my workshop area in my garage. That is where I go to make baits and tinker with my boat.

Tried it and don’t like it.

I throw a set of 1/16 oz heads on 4/0 hooks with flukes. That is on 3 wires as we aren’t allowed more. I put blades on the other two. I sometimes use them in shallow water and run them like a spinnerbait.
  14. It is hard for me to tell with the reflection but it looks like clear with black and maybe some silver flake along with pearl powder. Is that how you see it Allen? I have a fluke mold. I’m in FL but will be home in about a week. If I can remember it I will give it a try.
  15. I would take the Bass Cat. I have spent many hours in a Panterra II they ride and fish well. You might also be able to get parts for the Bass Cat since they are still in business.
  16. I don’t even remember but I bet that I butchered a bunch before I got it figured out.
  17. Pitzen is the only knot one needs. It is one step less than SDJ and can be tied while wearing gloves. It takes just a few seconds to tie.
  18. I don’t have a pic but did catch a lawn chair on a jig.
  19. I fish standing timber mainly with a shaky or Ned.
  20. You said Lowrance HDS. What generation 1, 2, or 3 ? That will make a difference in value.
  21. I was just in the Bass Pro Catalog Outlet in Springfield, MO where they sell returned refurbished reels. There was a big table of Lews reels and not one Shimano in the store.
  22. It doesn’t matter what they do to your boat to fix it. That never should have happened. I’d be wanting everything free.
  23. I just got my Barlow’s catalogue. Victory is now making the weedless Ned hook in several sizes.
  24. My daughter had laser surgery and it was great for several years. She now wears contacts when working and glasses when not. I started wearing glasses in high school. I wore them until after college. Then around forty I needed them again. I wore transition lenses and they worked great. Then I developed cataracts. With the surgery I had one eye slightly far sighted and the other one slightly near sighted. They are in year 12. I only need readers for up close work and have saved over $5000 in glasses.
  25. Did you look on their site under lure making, hooks for do-it molds?
