Today I caught my first 8" hudd fish... after over 100 hours fishing it over the years. I've caught fish on bigger baits but for some reason I could never get them on the traditional slow bottom crawl

Had my boss and his son over today . Primary goal was bream. The 2nd bream Alex hooked , as he had it almost to the dock , a bass clobbered the bream and he hooked the bass right in the corner of the

  • So I went fishing today, and caught a 9#. Scale bounced between 8-15 and 9-2, but let's call it a 9, shall we? NLMB trout eater.   Super slow rolling a 8" weedless on the bottom in about 15

Started out this afternoon determined to improve on my spinnerbait game. Cloudy, cool , and nice ripple of breeze again.Got 2 on it in probably an hour. Gave up and started with the zoom pumpkin lizard , to follow last weeks pattern .Good bite with them for another hour or so, except none on top . 20181104_163716-966x1288.jpg20181104_165015-966x1288.jpg20181104_165027-606x808.jpg20181104_173707-606x808.jpg20181104_175652-966x1288.jpgJust like last week, I started for home and fished the good eel grass beds on the way. Ued a new yum dinger color ( alabama bug? or craw ? )Anyway the fish were all over them, I caught 3 fish on consecutive casts.

Caught 12 total.

The pics are not in sync with the story this time for some reason

Got out on Saturday to one of my favorite local ponds. It had been cold and raining constantly for the previous couple of days. Took the water temp which showed 46 degrees. Overcast and intermittent rain showers with a slight breeze. Did not think I was going to catch anything.

Started with my Vision 110 Jr casting laterally and working it slowly along weed lines that transition to deeper water. Saw nothing and got no bites.

Moved down the shore to a flat with depths between 4-6 feet and decided to throw out my swimbait (Biwaa S Trout.)

After about 10 casts, I had an 11 inch Largemouth absolutely smash it around 10 feet from the shoreline. Caught 2 more this way and lost another before finally having to leave.

Fished a slough down river of this pond and stuck a small hammer handle on the Vision 110 Jr.

All in all one of the better November days I've ever had!

Thanks, Nah this one is pretty far from me, unlike the one earlier (August) that was super close and we could see fire from our backyard.

Glad you're well.  Wouldn't want to lose you.

Was feeling poorly all day today. Got home from church and thought about fishing but just didnt feel up to it.About 45 min. before dark I couldnt take it any more and decided to fish off the dock. Caught some bream, a catfish, and caught some nice bait sized 'gills.

And the end result was this 5 pound, 12 oz. fish. She was just a hair under 24 inch.20181111_182709-966x1288.jpg20181111_182715-966x1288.jpg

Thanks. I thought it had especially pretty markings and color.

Went out on Saturday again since I already filled my deer tag, and taking a week off before going after my elk.

It was 29 degrees outside and snowing. Water temp was in the low 40s around the entire pond.

So you can imagine how suprised I was when I found big females feeding up in 1 foot of water and aggressively taking my jerkbait.

Also ended up with this bonus rainbow :D

Quite possibly one of the best Novembers I've ever had fishing.

Fishing here has been sllllllllooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwwwww for me this fall. A turd ton of rain has literally flooded and turned over almost every lake that’s within 6 hours of here. We went from late summer fishing to almost winter fishing in a week.

After being skunked or nearly skunked on the last few trips I did manage to catch 5 over the weekend. My biggest was around 3.5. One dink on a squarebill, the rest on Texas rigged soft plastics dragging bottom super slow.

Feelin the crunch now, seems like the rest of this year is flying by, and running out of time to get on some more big girls before true winter hits.

Are they stocking trout in your lake? That is a long bass I’m guess right at 4 but she’s a skinny bass with a big head probably a 5 pounder that needs to fatten up.

You didn’t get this one on go pro ? I watch most your videos ?. Must have been fun to catch that one on spinning gear she’s a fatty.

had a break in the cold weather and decided to head to the local power plant lake, to try out my new  Kastking speed demon pro jerkbait rod. Put a tatula ct on it and threw a yozuri jerkbait around for 4 hours.

The combination worked great. caught several white bass and wipers on the upper hot side of the lake. water temp was 54 degrees.

went to the cold lower end of the lake and caught these 2 bass. water temp was 49 degrees.

No monsters, but still gave the new rod a decent workout. felt good to get out on the water after a week of unseasonably cold weather.

We caught gobs of jerkbait fish at the trout lake today, including one big trout on a jerkbait. Fish were really grouped up when we found them.
