That Nanahan has been ?. Works well with tiny schools of shad of everywhere this time of year.

This is my first one of these. The color though,  Kasumi Ito, has caught a lot of fish in each different bait I have tried it in.  We will see how it does tomorrow.

A few more things lol, saw the full metal shower blow, speed wake yesterday and couldn’t resist lol. I had a hard time deciding on bluegilla or Spanish bone decided to go with blugilla since it will be in the water. Got a mango jig that something just stole around 15 minutes ago lol. I guess my bfs rod and 5lb line wasn’t up to it or a pike stole it, good news is 1/8 oz jig let’s me work the tops of the salad without getting hung up in it. 2 packs of trailers.

A small trip to the tackle shop lol, I wanted a specific jig in a certain color and the same with the trailers. I have a idea for the punching rig after fishing a frog through a pad field and having 10 fish or so miss it completely. 3/4 oz punching rig, not sure of the brand but it is local and they carry quite a bit of different types of lures at D&R sports center and I figured That I would choose local over strike king. I still like strike king stuff for sure though. Jig is a 3/16 oz nichols mango jig in green pumpkin and rage chunks in summer craw, I love the 1/8 oz one if I was a fish I would have been caught a long time ago on that combo, the fall looks amazing.

I was ordering braid and leader for my new Zillion Silver Wolf, always check the Sale lures, and couldn't resist these 3.5-g salty finesse prop plugs from INX.  I did swap the #10 trebles for BKK Fangs #10, which always measure a size larger (#8).

Picking up some stuff you actually needed.  What a refreshing idea.

not bait/lures, but i just bought way too many of those Shin Fukae, Neko hooks.   its' go time with the more weedless neko presentation.  we were killing winter bass with the presentation, but getting hung up quite often.

Those look like they would kill the trout at night under the lights.

The dome in the front is like a clear lens, that gathers as much light as possible to send it through the transparent color.

Especially trout under the dock lights at night could read it as a ball of half-inch glass minnows and slash into it.  While we mostly prospect deep in the winter, change-up is really important, and I've seen periods when schoolies would only take a lure in the surface film.

On Plat, INX had a pretty good video of it being fished - dog-walk it like a surface jerk bait, and it's an evading shrimp - of course, the click is built in.  When you pull hard, there's just enough plane on it to make it dive (reds in skinny grass).  Steady retrieves turn it into a wakebait.

The ZPI PG spool is my favorite spool.  I have a couple of '17 Tatula SV's with them, as well as a couple of steez reels with them.  I don't see a drop in perfoance with the zpi Tatulas vs the steez.

So when I saw that asian portal still had these spools for only $42....I jumped on it.  I figured I'd  pick up a pair of standard Tat's for a good price...nothing fancy.  Then I saw Japan Lure still had the Megabass Rhodium...a reel everyone ignored because it was a $320 Tatula.  However, with the exchange rate...they were down to $230.  More than I planned on paying, but I thought why not...I'll be more proud of them.  I really didn't know anything about them.  In the website pic, they looked all black, so I was surprised when they showd up 2-tone.  Also didn't know they had a tuned spool that will throw 4g's.  So I've got one with the stock megabass spool to try out.

@FishTank the only reason I'm calling you here, this inline spinner directly relates to finesse -

- had these Vanfook spinner hooks with pre-tied woolly bugger around for awhile, until I found the spinner I wanted to swap them into.
The pre-tied hooks are Vanfook Aomidoro (marabou) AM-801 (olive) and 802 (brown)
The perfect spinner is Mukai Max Spinner 4.0 g - a single-hook spinner made to keel hook-up and let you bottom-bounce for the best of everything.

Last time I looked, BFE has the Mukai Max.

Part of the trick is finding a spinner that uses split ring to hang the hook.

You can do the same thing at your fly-tying vise with a Tiemco 5263 hook.

Those are cool. I have only fished the traditional Mepps and Rooster Tails. Those are on another level.

During my lunch break today, I had an extra 10 minutes to kill…7F5F3505-B26F-4853-A6FE-2B89AD0B99BA.thumb.jpeg.15505724e8dea4223ca1fb8ee71ddde4.jpeg

Can’t wait to get her on the water. Initial feel is very nice.

Couldn't pass up this "deal" for a high quality swim/wake bait and I'm curious to see how it performs next time out. They sure put a lot into the packaging and components... almost pretty.

Cool having the smell of a freshly assembled wooden box when opening it up.

Extra tail and tail hardware was a nice touch as well.

I'm enjoying it, every 2.5lb-3lb bass feels like a new PB! It's a good drop shot rod, I've had success using the screwhead/spark shad combo which probably means it'll be good for light reaction baits too.

Darn jdm and the hook up tackle both got me. Needed another versatile spinning rod, and since I've heard so many good things about the St Croix Victory 7'3"MXF and the hook up had them on sale I couldn't pass it up. Teaming it up with the Exsence BB and it feels pretty great in hand. Bait monkey also informed me I needed to try cover scats, jdm finesse jigs and a couple small swimbaits.

For some reason I can’t help but buy things I don’t need.

No pic this time, but I got 4 packs of Zoom UV Speed Craws in Green Pumpkin, Black/Red Flake, Watermelon/Red Flake, and Junebug.

Still figuring out how I like to retrieve and rig them, but I am thrilled at how easily you can fish them at every point of the water column on a light Texas rig. Now if I could only get a bite.
