EH I'm an older guy and when I started fishing with baitcasters pretty much all that was available were right hand retrieves, just what it was....what was funny was I originally started on old Mitchell's spinning reels and they were lh retrieve, go figure. It was just baitcasters that were RH, wasn't until a couple years ago that I picked up some LH retrieves that were on clearance and took a little bit to get used to them but for any moving baits they are about all I use if available...RH still out number the LH but not by a lot...

I remember many years ago they had a similar deal on their Power Worms. PLUS there was a rebate through Berkley. I think I'm still working through those packs lol.

I write and shoot right handed but I do everything else lefty(bat, golf, etc). I can't fish with a left handed reel to save my soul. I even flip my spinning reels over to the right side.

At the store I was at, they had a separate clearance section tucked off the side of the fishing area on a end cap. There's two stores in my city, one side of town has a good fishing section and good clearance, the other one usually doesn't have squat so I'm sure it's pretty store dependant.

Head to the Expo this weekend. There'll be plenty of deals. Ben's Tackle Shack will be there. They have a great selection of just about everything.

They messed something up early in the last sale too, discount showed in the cart but didn't adjust price for any items. I'd say give it till 9am PST they will probably get it sorted.

well, it's fixed and works but so far the two rods (two difference brands) that I've been holding back on aren't part of the sale it seems. There isn't a list of exclusions posted anywhere so when their chat is up online I'm going to ask for it. If the rods are included I'll make the order but if not I'm going to wait.

@casts_by_fly the price on restricted items should drop on the 2nd checkout page where they ask for payment details. I just tested with an expride and it worked fine, $329 in cart but $280 on payment page.

If you are a club member Bass Pro has a 10% discount today that stacks w/ their other stuff on sale so some pretty good deals to be had. I almost picked up one of those Johnny Morris CarbonLite casting reels since the price is down to $103 with both discounts and it seems to be the spiritual successor to the previous gen lew's speed spool LFS, but ended up grabbing a BB1 instead. The 10% discount also applies to manufacturers like Megabass that don't always get included in other sales as often...

I eat and write with my right. But I throw and kick with my left. My left arm is by far the stronger arm but right hand is more coordinated lol. Takes me about 8 minutes to reel in a cast with my left hand and I look like a clown doing it. Fortunately I cast left so I don’t have to switch. And here’s the real kicker…..I reel right on a baitcast, but left with a spinning reel 🤣

I can verify the TW sale link is working. It consumed my Xmas gift card stash I had. Best part isn’t the sale, it’s getting a full box of new things without explaining why I’m buying more fishing stuff. Simply, I needed to use those gift cards.

No idea. Ive been checking back every couple days waiting for the strike king b3g3 so I can stock up on rage craws

I was determined to buy no new fishing lures, but the Rapala sale is just sooo good, so I bought some Mayors and crawdads.

Yeah it really is the best deal when they have it, basically becomes buy one get one...they have it on strike king, zman etc...bought nice chatterbaits that basically become 50% off. I have one store near me that carries fishing stuff and was going to take a drive tomorrow and see what they have on hand...i know I shouldnt but I am anyway, lol.

Edit: Looks like only certain strike king and z man items, it's not brand wide unfortunately

Dicks is really gotten to be the worse for me, they have stores everywhere near me but have removed the fishing section out of all of them except one that is way further out...seems like at some point they are not going to do any fishing. Now I need to decide if I want to drive an hour...ugh
