Ironic that their Megabass stuff is excluded (or so it seems...haven't checked every lure), yet the code is Mega20.

I’ve never ordered during one of their sales, is the discount still applicable to excluded items like TW does? Not expecting megabass of course 

They used to include a "call for deals too good to advertise" statement in their sales that would give you the discount on everything except Megabass, but I'm not sure if their website will do it on its own like TW does.

I tried it on a Daiwa reel and a couple of Megabass lures and it did not work either one.  I guess I will wait for Tackle Warehouse's sale.

The package is arriving today, I will report out when the package gets here.

The final package arrived today, several days late due to mangled address on the package.  The box was pretty hammered.  A few holes in it too.  I asked the UPS driver to wait while I checked the contents (if it was bad I was going to refuse shipment).  Turns out the rod was wrapped with massive amounts of paper and was in perfect condition.  I guess I lucked out.  Super nice frog rod bye the way!

You talking like in the Chronarch/Metanium/Steez/Zillion level of high end?  Yeah - but there are deals to be had - might have to wait for a 20% off sale at one of the bigger online places, TW,ALF, Sportsman Outfitters.  Many times even if their discount code isn't "supposed" to work with some of those brands, a call to Customer Service playing dumb will get it done.

Do you have any local tackle shops that carry high end stuff? USUALLY they will give you 20-30% off if you simply ask for it. The more expensive the reel, the bigger margin they have to work with. If you buy more than one, the bigger the discount can get. They love repeat customers who buy high end gear.

A few weeks ago they had the transom bibs on sale for 159.97- I picked the bibs up at that price from Simm's.  I know Simm's was cycling through their older models.  Not sure if the challengers will go on sale like that but they probably will go cheaper than 20% off as I see that quite commonly from Simm's.  Not sure what they normally do on BF/CM.

In my experience the only brand truly "excluded" is Megabass and the discount is reflected on the final invoice for everything else.

Right. I ordered a St croix rod last year and I believe they charged me full price and then issued a credit back to my card as a separate transaction.

Maybe it just means they can't individually set lower prices on the other brands, but a blanket discount is allowable.
