Temperatures dropping into the teens tonight and a 30% chance of snow. Expected accumulation of more than an inch!

The Memphis area will be CLOSED tomorrow.

:winter-146:

All evacuation routes south from Memphis are clogged with traffic.

  • If you can remove the snow with a wisk broom it's not a blizzard.

We were pounded by snow for 8:00PM until 8:01PM. I'm hoping to tunnel out later to check on the neighbors.

People here in the south really do flip out over a little snow. All the eggs, milk, bread & cheese are gone from the local grocery stores. Lol.

Never really understood that. If I'm getting snowed in I'd rather have steak!

I'm sure the weather terrorists are warning people to stock up on supplies and gasoline because the snow apocalypse is coming.  Its currently -4 where I am in central Minnesota.

We're expecting an inch or so tonight in Richmond.  It's possible we'll see up to 8" on Saturday.  I've prepared by deliberately procrastinating on taking down the outdoor Christmas decorations.

9:28 in Richmond, Virginia and my super doper BPS inside-outside thermometer says it is now 38* outside.

Can't wait!

I tried to park for (not exaggerating) an hour, went to the bar because I needed food and whisky) and then circled for another 30 minutes. SO. MUCH. HATE.

It's supposed to be 27 here in Jax. tonight.

Have seen ONE hard snowfall here in my life.Roads were icy.If I remember correctly there were 350 accidents here in 2 days.

Just cold here! Currently 0 degrees out! Got a couple inches the other day,  so it's white out.

Been working out in these single digit days for over a month now.

Schools don't get closed here until 6+ inches.  Located in mid Illinois.

These threads always make me smile. It's very amusing  to see the I drive 70 miles an hour in 15 feet of snow with the windows down, in my speedo, without the heater being on all the while blindfolded and have never had a wreck, crowd come out in full force. Pavlov would have been Impressed. :)

I will now go back to my Winter misery. Seven (7) inches of this white crap and counting.........Winter sucks.

Only ended up with 1.5 - 2" in the Memphis area. But enough to freak out all us southern drivers, lol. Seriously tho, roads were pretty icy yesterday when I made the obligatory milk & eggs run.
