Days on the water....

I usually start planning my next fishing trip on the way home from a fishing trip. Don't think I could ever get enough.

Agree with you both....but due to how I seem to be fishing and the luck I've had with my boat I seem to get a ton more smiles in my heart from my young granddaughter!!!

You are soooo right.  I'd rather be on the water than anywhere else I can think of.  I am quite old and plan to be on the water every chance I get until the time comes that I have to give it up.

Me Too ~.

Even if it's still only in my garage.

But seriously, this is about as good as it gets for me.

I’m counting down the minutes until 5 pm when I will be launching my boat. Sunny and 70 here........... vitamin D dosage. I would rather be floating on the water than anywhere in this ole world, my friends call me water dog

I feel a sick day coming on...

It's days like this that make me want to move south. Today it was 60* out and sunny, no wind, but I can't wet a line cause the local lakes still have ice on them...

I've been hitting the tribs for steelhead, but those aren't my game. I sleep, eat, and breath bass. Come on open water!

I moved to South Florida from Ohio in 1973 because of the ability to fish and do outdoor activities all year long.  I fish between 275 and 300 days a year from both the boat and the bank.  It is the ultimate relaxation from what ever happened the rest of the day.  No ice out, slush, or bone chilling weather for me ever again.  I love where I live.

Smart move... because here in the North - this could happen in late April like it did last year...

Half the year Minnesota is a write-off... and the other 6 months aren’t a guarantee of good weather either... many years, we spend 275-300 days a year wondering why we live here ?

Got that straight...hopefully ice-out will be at least a week earlier than last year. The way the shore-ice is retreating on Minnetonka, it's probably a safe bet.

We're still dealing with hard water at this point. But....temps are moving in the right direction and hopefully by this weekend we can wet the hull. :)

I have always said the being on the water "recharges my life batteries".  Since I am retiring at the end of June, I'm hoping to be on a "Full Charge" from then on.

Fishing is more than a passion for me. It's an obsession. I don't take it for granted. I cherish every minute I can spend on the water.

When I am on the water, nothing else matters. All of life's problems float away.

When not fishing, I  am monitoring the weather forecast and planning the next trip.

You can call it a passion or an obsession. Either way it influences nearly every aspect of my life.

I love  the early spring days where you shed the jacket around noon and slip on a pair of shorts for the first time all year even though its a little too early for shorts . Its about that time a window opens and a big bass hits .

Me too ~

But some years that doesn't happen for us until July.

You'll probably pass us all up by the end of July if history holds true. Always enjoy your pics and videos.
