It appears that Mr. Bill Dance seems to favor the said spinnerbait.  Most folks nowadays are throwing a double willow rather than a single blade. I think I need to start throwing some single blades again based on this video. What do you favor - size, trailer, color etc - and why?

I do single, double (tandem and alike), large, small, silver, gold, painted...whatever works. 
 

At night I actually have my best luck in spinners with a single large Colorado. Painted or unpainted hasn’t seemed to matter. 

Over the years I have tried just about every spinnerbait made.  Even made a few myself.  A single Colorado spinnerbait is good for fishing drops.  It works especially well when fishing steep banks.  Throw it to the edge of the shore and let it helicopter down on a semi tight line.  Most hits come when the lure stops and you begin a slow retrieve back to the boat.  Single Colorado baits should be pulled slow or they will tilt sideways or turn upside down. 

I haven't had much luck myself with them only the old willows.

9 of 10 times im throwing a SB its a single Colorado.  

I give one a try every time I go bass fishing.  Waked on the surface, or crawled on the bottom.  Some days they are the best thing I throw, other days not so much.  I  catch something with them most of the time.  My favorite is black and chart skirt, 1/2 OZ No 5 gold blade.  

Single Colorado short arm spinnerbait, 1/2 oz , pearl skirt, maybe a few strands of watermelon black flake on top with an olive zonker strip is by far my top producing spinnerbait. 

A 3/8 or 1/2 oz single spin was my favourite night spinnerbait. I liked a dark skirt,  #11 pork frog trailer, and a large copper blade.

Use single Colorado spinner baits in muddy water and in the winter, the bigger the blade the better. I call them "thumper baits". Gold, white or black blades

I use big single colorado spinner baits anytime I'm fishing at night, or fishing extremely dirty water.

I like a 1/2 oz. single colorado spinnerbait when the water is dirty or when I'm fishing in deep water.

Single Colorado blades seem hard to come by for some reason.  Especially gold or bronze colored single Colorado blades.

With a couple of packs of blades, you can make one up on the fly.  I like a shorter arm on a single Colorado, so I trim a tandem down about an inch or so.

I have some of the original Stan Sloane Zorro spinnerbaits in a short arm single Colorado blade. My best luck has come on one in a color similar to War Eagle spot remover.

 

 I would also add I have never tried the lift and drop retrieve shown in the video. I usually slow roll them.

Single Colorado's are an early and late season bait for me. They're  all I've used this year so far. I dont worry about water clarity or time of day so much but do prefer copper for cloudy days. For size i use 5's on 1/4 and 3/8ths oz. And 7's for 1/2-1oz.baits. Also I never slowroll or helicopter just straight retreive. 

I still throw them. Just like all other spinnerbaits I throw them when I’m tired of catching fish and need some peace and quiet 

I like a single Colorado SB with a short arm, in fact, I've shortened the arms and removed the tandem blade of over half my SBs.  I run them over the top of vegetation and then let them fall into pockets, or at the weed edge. They helicopter down much better than baits with a longer arm. I'd venture to say half the fish I catch on them are on the drop.

I just made 2 3/4oz black spinnerbaits with #7 hammered copper Colorado blades this morning. Anytime the water is really dirty, they get tossed around. I fish single or double Colorado blades almost as much as willowleafs/Indiana blades.

My local lakes are generally stained and have a lot of blue gill and yellow perch, so my go to spinner bait has become a fire tiger colored spinner with single gold Colorado blade. I have not caught a single spinner bait fish on any other color on those two lakes.

A single, Colorado bladed spinner bait is about the only version I use. Because they aren’t easy to find, I had a guy who makes spinner baits make me up a bunch.
