First one and proud.

I'd say the hook has been set. Welcome to the club.

Need to make some skirt prototypes to see what everyone likes. I will post some pics of the heads I painted recently.

Not entirely happy with them personally.  Wish I would have painted the belly pearl white instead or regular white.  Going forward that will be the paint pattern.  I know everyone is going to say it doesn't really matter but I am OCD when it comes to making baits.

Very lovely paint job!

This is supposed to be a smallmouth. No idea if it'll catch fish. But it was fun to paint.

First try, think it needs two strands of black down the sides. Overall I like it just needs some tweaks.

I've mostly been tying flies lately, but I picked my jig tying back up this summer to tie some jigs for a buddy to take to Minnesota and our local rivers that my son fishes. I forgot how much fun I have tying jigs.

Prototype micro bladed jig. Did get a couple hits. Rides higher in column than I expected considering blade size. Going to continue tweaking it.

It looks like your blade is on backwards, the bend should be towards the rear of the bait. The extra resistance of the blade like this  would cause the bait to ride higher.

Thank you. Ive never actually fished bladed jigs. I’ve been unsure which way to bend it so that makes alot of sense.
