Vaccinated, 2+years of avoidance - and now I has the COVID

Right now just feels like a cold, but the antigen test came back positive...so we'll see what happens. Gonna try to get an anti-viral from my Doc.

Hope you are better soon.

Take it easy and do what your physician says.

All the best for a speedy recovery.

Hard to do, I'm the grocery buyer, laundry man (coin laundromat), cook, dishwasher and PCA for the wife on the 3 days the hired PCA isn't here...and no, we don't have the budget to have the groceries delivered or the laundry picked up and done for us.

Just take care of yourself and don’t push it, while taking as many precautions as you can not to infect anyone else.

I wish you the best.

That can't be overstated! At least for me, dehydration was a problem.

Hoping you get better soon

Absolutely true.  I can assure you it can get a lot worse too based on personal experience.

Get well soon. You have a important job at home. Hopes it’s a mild case.

Someone else just recently posted about getting Covid.

I'm confident you'll be fine, just do what is suggested.

Quarantine on the water with a rod in your hand if it just feels like a cold.

I'd LOVE to - but the F-9 isn't ready for the water yet.

I hope you get better soon and make a full recovery. At this point in the pandemic we all have had Covid-19, we are all fortunate to still be alive since many have died. This virus is not like any other virus, it keeps mutating and Clinicians and Scientist are doing the best they can. The new variants are almost as infectious as the measles, which is the most infectious virus known to Man. In the long run this will affect generations of people, all because some people trusted with important decisions did not take it seriously. There are people who are getting hit hard now by Covid-19 that did not get hit hard in the past 2.5 years, it goes to show that nobody is 100% safe from this virus, regardless how strong you think you are.

What's worse is I have a couple friends who STILL haven't been vaccinated - they refuse to be 'guinea pigs'

People have freedom of choice to do whatever they want, sadly many only think of themselves and think they are invincible. At this point in the pandemic most people understand how dangerous Covid-19 is and this virus appears to be getting better and better at infecting people, even those with natural immunity and multiple vaccinations. The real damage will be seen 10 or more years from now, let's see what happens in the long run.

Hope you’re better soon. I had all the symptoms 2 months or so ago, but tested negative. The cough was the worst. I called the doc and he prescribed an antibiotic. I was better in a week. I don’t know what I had , but  I felt weird, in addition to the symptoms. Like something different than I ever had before. Also lost my taste for 4 days , which really stunk…

Get better soon. So far my two daughters and I have had C-19. Only my wife has been spared. Although her second booster played hell with her MS. I shudder to think what would happen if she catches COVID.
