Are we of a single mind?...

Right there with you - I only use leaders in specific situations, and moving baits (spinner/chatter/buzz) are not times I use a leader.

Since I’d likely never throw a spinnerbait on braid, “no leader” is the default answer for me…but if I did do it, I wouldn't use one either ?

I use no leaders for ANYTHING.

Braid is a specialty line for me and I see no advantages when using it with a spinnerbait; no leaders for me by default as well. However, I have fished magnum 3/4 and 1 oz spinnerbaits on my 65# braid pike setup without a leader. So yeah no leaders for spinnerbaits.

I gave up on leaders a long time ago.

I don't use leaders.  I use straight fluoro or co-poly for most applications. I only use braid for specific purposes (pitching, froggin').  Braid is not an all-purpose line.

Leaders for me a majority of the time.  I have 30 or 50lb braid on all my setups and long mono or floro leaders on all.  I just retie like any other bait.  Zebra mussels are the main reason.

I normally use mono for spinnerbaits, so no leadee there.

Even when i use braid from spinnerbaits i don't use a leader because the water is normally stained.

No wood or brush, but lots of weeds: Straight braid or heavy mono.

No leader here. Straight copoly/mono in 17lb for me with spinnerbaits. Never use braid unless it’s fishing heavy grass with swim jigs and Texas rigs.

14 lb flourcarbon is the line dragging my chatter baits and spinner baits.

I suck with both for the most part, so I haven't had many fish emergencies where I wish I had a different line.

Leader!

I don't need no stinking leader!

I'd also use a leader on my braid in this situation.  I don't have this scenario so no leaders for me either.  Also agree braid is technique specific for me.  Mono or co-polymer otherwise.

No leader for me....but...no braid for me.

I use leader for pretty much everything except punching.

I throw spinnerbaits on straight braid. Love the positive hooksets at the end of a bomb cast. I personally don't think bass are spooked by the line with moving/reaction style baits.

No leaders for me.  No need for another failure point in the system.  Straight braid, copolymer or mono for me.  Even on my fly rod i use straight leaders as well

Dont use any leaders on anything.

No leaders here either. Spinnerbaits get tossed on mono.

I fish spinnerbaits tight to cover alot so I throw 'em on a rig capable of dragging fish out of it. 40# 832 on a H or MH MF rod.

I have to run a steel leader when fishing spinnerbaits because we have pike up here that love to smash them.

so I only buy the type that has a closed loop.
