Thoughts and prayers for your dad and family. End of life is hard enough as it is when it's peaceful, seeing someone suffer just makes it that much worse.

Sending prayers your way ??

Cancer sucks, I understand your dad wanting to go more on his terms though. The treatment seems almost as bad as the cancer itself.

Yeah cancer is a *****,no other way around it. My dad is getting tested next week for prostate cancer because some number came back high. Guess we shall see what happens. Here's to you and yours my friend...hoping it goes the way he wants regardless of what that means.

Certainly was with my mom.

Dad's problem is he still thinks he's a young buck at 82. I see him winding down more than he see's himself winding down. I keep telling him to take it easy but, he's going out with a bang. Dad was serving brats and beer in Wisconsin at a fall festival this past weekend in the cold and rain. I hope to have his enthusiasm if I make it to his age.

I'm so sorry. I just lost my uncle recently, we were very close and it was really hard. These things are really tough, but God is with us through it.

Dad went into the hospital with congestive heart failure last night. Out of immediate danger.

My old man went through that last year. He is usually glued to his chair at home watching baseball or old movies like Ben-Hur. Hard to get him up and moving so those fluids don’t collect in his lungs.

I hope your Dad feels better soon.

Thanks all. Dad is home today. Drained the fluid and shocked his heart. Going to be on meds the remainder of his life be it short or long term.

One day at a time.

Glad to hear Paul.

Yup, one day at a time.

I'm quoting you but the response is for all here. The power of prayer is real.

Doc said Dad was the perfect storm, and he survived.
