Which size do you use?

The 3" micros.

And the key to cutting braid is, if you can, pull the line tight before you snip.

Dunno if I got a bad pair, but the Boomerang snip I tried got dull pretty fast.

A good quality sharp knife works best for me.

Another vote for Cuda, only problem you'll end up buying everyone in the house a pair. 

I’ve got about 5 pair of the cuda’s. Couldn’t find any of them the other day…went to academy to get a couple more pair. All they had were the larger Googan squad brand scissors so I gave those a shot. They promptly found their way to the bottom of the garbage can at the boat dock. They are like a 4” blade, but only like 1/2” of that is serrated for braid cutting, and the other 3 1/2” are smooth. So, like the cuda’s, why don’t you just make the entire blade serrated?

 

I pick up a few pair every couple months. I use them for everything around the house…

I've had success using the Rapala versions.  Under 5 bucks.

The blue cuda ones mentioned above are essentially the same thing and they are also under 5 bucks right now too.  The rapala ones have longer metal and they stay in my designated scissors/pliers slot holders better in my boat.

I can show you some chunk rock here (I find it by feel) that'll cut through it like a hot knife through butter.

My favorite too. A few weeks ago they were $3.25 ea. I bought 4!

I’ve got both sizes of the Cuda’s and 3 of the Boomerangs, had the Cuda’s for 3 years and this is the 2nd for the Boomerangs. The small Cudas work out the best as they are simple but got dull after a season. The large ones are my bench cutters which is probably a mistake as they get used for all sorts of things but still work great on braid. The Boomers still work fine and are now why I use in the canoe since the little Cuda’s stopped working. My only issues with them are the lanyard is too short and the darn things seem to lock themselves every time I pick ‘em up. Still work fine when I get done swearing.

 

The Boomers are easy to find as 2 are clipped to the Bass Raider seats and the other is clipped to the tackle bag I use in the canoe. To me that’s their big plus.

 

For the price you can’t beat the little Cuda’s, but get a few and toss em out as they go dull.

I go through a pair of Cudas every year or so. They cut as well as any I’ve used and get dull just like all the others. I buy them 2 or 3 at a time when I need them.

Got to agree with @IcatchDinks and @jbrew73 here; knives work great. They're also the best for tying any thing that needs a very short tag like leader knots.

Boomerang snip tool.  I have two that are about 5 seasons old.  Not quite as sharp as they once were, but still do the job.

Pit bull tackle are the best I have ever used.  No tension needed at all to cut braid.  I have boomerang, cuda, Rapala, kids scissors.  Nothing touches the Pit Bull 

I have tried several and so far the best I have used is the Dr. Slick Braid Cutters but they are sharp, like cut your fingers off sharp. 

Boomerang long jaws. Back of the jaws for braid, front of the jaws for mono/flouro. Keeps them from getting dull on the part I cut braid.

 

Or whatever pliers are nearby.
