This week I bought a spinning Expride and a casting Zodias rods.  Didn't need them but purchased them used and thought they would be fun to try out.

I have both of them too, you’re gonna love em Randy!

I see the Core Tackle T.U.S.H. package. Those are the only swimbait hooks I use now. Love them. I mainly use the 1/4oz 2/O and 4/O sizes. Paired with Crush City The Mayor swimbaits 2/O for the 3" and 4/O for the 4". Great action. I have gotten more bites with that setup than any other. The T.U.S.H. work great with Strike King Rage Swimmers, Kietech Fat Impact Swings and Reaction Innovations Skinny Dippers. If you haven't used those swimbait hooks before, I think you're gonna really like them.

I didn't use them yet but soon going to use them on fat impact, I was surprised by the size of head so that moment I decide fat impact will be good fit, Thanks for the advice and sure I would try the other bait you recommend as well.

Going to get a 9' kaos tackle assault stick telescopic to pair with. anyone have that rod? It is famous musky rod and I want to have it because it will be 7'5" and can put it in RV with other rods and I am going to use it for mega size glides, Any taught?

My muskie guide buddy steered me away from those Chaos rods when I started buying muskie gear.

I've been very happy with my Daiwa Prorex muskie rods. They're also telescopic, have Fuji O-ring guides, and the VERY comfortable Fuji palming reel seat. They offer 8'6" models in MH, H, and XH. The 8'6" XH is my favorite for muskie glides and rubber in the 3-10 oz range.

I recently bought a 401 Tranx myself. I've been very happy with it so far.

Funny:) My musky guide buddy steered me to them as an affordable starter option. I've got the SWAT paired with a Lexa. It's been great for years, no issues so far. It's handled lots of big girls and big pike.

Should I need new gear anytime soon, I'll check out the Prorex too. Can't go wrong with a Tranx - I've fished a heap with both the Tranx and the Lexa.

Just bought a Dobyns Sierra after I snapped an expensive formidable rod in half........ actually like the Dobyns better.

The Sierra takes full advantage of the rod length and gradually loads up......me likes.

👍I've been running Lexa HD's since last August when I started chasing muskie outside of A-rig season, and I've been very happy with them. I decided it was time to give a Tranx a try just for comparisons sake. I really like it as well. It palms really well and casts light baits a bit better than the Lexa 400 while not giving up nearly as much line capacity as dropping to a Lexa 300. You really cant go wrong with either brand IMO.

Daiwa seems to overrate the rod power on them IMO. It could just be my perception though. They're all moderate action rods so the tips are soft, and don't really start getting into the backbone until mid blank. That's a good thing for fighting fish on trebles, but not so much for pulling baits around the 8. I tend to favor one power up from what I think I should need with these rods. I have zero issues with the build quality at their price point though.

Just bought a Metanium HG and a Stradic, and have a second Metanium on the way for Fathers Day. That Metanium is pretty slick.

$215 to-my-door for two mint condition old magnesium JDM reels - one first gen Steez (with a SV spool), one first gen Aldebaran - I'd say it's a pretty good deal.

Just got these in over the last little bit from the auction sites.  Not like I needed more reels.   LoL   Really enjoying the SLX DC XT as much as my zillion SV’s that I needed another.  Others are jdm slx mgl, ‘15 met dc and ‘17 scorpion dc.

I wanted to get a spinning setup for hair jigs and one that could also handle small swimbaits. So I picked up a Megabass P5 Whippet and a Shimano Twin Power C2000S. I have been fishing this set up for about a week and have been killing it. I did post some thoughts on this in another thread but the reel is super smooth and built to handle some big fish. The rod though has been blowing my mind.  I am a big fan of my NRX+ rods but the Whippet might be more sensitive and that is saying something. The exposed rod blank hits my hand just right, as to where the NRX is making contact with fingers. It's different but somehow I think I'm feeling more bites as I am catching fish left and right. My only issue has been the lack of quality fish lately and the rod is also slow to load, unlike every NRX I have.

Oh yeah.   I got this thing recently as well.   It’s got some dings but it’s “new” to me.  Thinking end of season I might tear it down and paint it up or something.  Tore it apart and cleaned it all up inside and it’s very smooth.  Just the outside has some battle wounds :)  actually arrived in much better condition than I thought for $100cdn shipped.   Who woulda thunk!

Just not sure what I intend to use it for.

Nice!  What do you mainly use yours for?  I have so many reels that I am running out of ideas.   LoL    I was thinking either frogs or just all around bank beater.   Do you find a certain line shines better with them?

Mainly chatter bait, but I also use it for just about anything except top water and jerk bait. I'm using it with 14LB sniper and it's perfect for what use it for.

I'm sure it'll do just fine and will cast further with braided line for frog fishing.

Got the shock and aw 20/20 assault stick musky rod for oversized lures. I like it because it can be 7'5" for storage and it can extend to 9' for fishing and it is rated for lures up to 24oz, So I can send my biggest lure with it.

Paired that with new Shimano TranX 400 that I recently purchased with power handle.

this rod is really high end rod with high quality cork and component. I am impressed.

BB1 Pro arrived today.  Lunkerhunt Compact Frogs also arrived.  The brand of frog I already had were not mentioned in a recent frog thread I read, so I ordered the Compacts and 2 other brands that were highly recommended.  However, the others aren't scheduled to arrive for another 2-4 days.

Two 600 yard spools of 30# Sufix 832 should be here Monday....green and Hi-Vis Yellow.  :)

Most of you guys might know I am Shimano guy when it comes to bass fishing and fresh water fishing, But there is something that Shimano don't have, I do go to other brands, This Lexa 500 L is one of them, For over 12 years I was waiting for TranX500 left handed and Shimano didn't do it and finally last year Daiwa Lexa did make it, So I got one and I am thankful for a 500 size low profile lefty to daiwa. Somehow I have feelings that Shimano going to do it with TranX 500 soon LOL.

I really like how it fits in my palm and can’t wait to get it on a rod and put it through its paces.

Did you get a chance to connect with St. Croix to replace the cap? I want to add some more Xtremes but people never sell the good models near me!
