Two items arrived today - both used, but both in excellent condition

 

First up - Victory 7'2" Heavy/Moderate - this will match with my Supreme XT 6.4 for my DT-12s to DT-16s, heavier cranks/squarebills and 1/2oz+ spinners. Got it from ALF during the sale, so $123 with tax.

 

Second up - my second Patriarch 7.1...sometimes Evil-Bay has something I want. Some boat rash, but perfect working order. Paid $75 with tax. This is going on my Mojo 7'5" MH/XF for jigs and light-moderate cover pitching.

Well I got the reel I set out to get at the beginning of the year.  I took it out for test drive with a flat sided crankbait.  I only caught two with it but it is a little powerhouse.  It's sort of odd feeling though.  It's like a go between for the Conquest 100 and the Conquest BFS which  I think was the intention.

Bait Monkey got me again.  Ordered a 22 Daiwa Salamandua SV TW 70XHL off aliexpress because I like the color scheme.  Already have a Coastal TWS SV and 200HSL.  Curious to see any differences other than spool capacity and color.

 

When will be the next time sales happen?  I'd like to pick up a Falcon Lowrider Headturner, but hate paying full price for anything.

Bit of an impulse buy, decided to add a longer ML spinner to the stable.

Dobyns 702SF with a 2500 Miravel. Spooled up with some old trilene xl 6lb as backing, topped with cheap .20mm hercules braid.

I'll get out to play once the wind calms down a little.

Today I had chance to get my second Metanium DC 71 with some fancy handles, It was a friend who got it and fish it twice and somehow he didn't like it or changed his mind, So I got it from him. Now I am in market for Shimano Poison Ultima to pair with it I can see the rod match the gold handle.

Got the new St Croix Mojo Bass Trigon rod. 7' HF for flippin around docks and heavy cover. I really like the handles but the trigger is too short. I wish it was more like the Victory models.

And it's not going into my panfish arsenal - it's gonna be my hair-jig rod with a Miravel 1000 on it...Backup/Secondary Ned/Neko rod as well.

ALF St. Croix deal and TW deal got me at the same time. I was originally going to cancel an old ALF order to buy the Cashion rod because they no longer stocked my original orders items.  So when I called to cancel, the guy offered to trade my order for a st Croix rod. So the bait monkey said why not both.

Got new TranX 401, Put the power handle on. Going to get a 9' kaos tackle assault stick telescopic to pair with. anyone have that rod? It is famous musky rod and I want to have it because it will be 7'5" and can put it in RV with other rods and I am going to use it for mega size glides, Any taught?

Paired with Crush City The Mayor swimbaits 2/O for the 3" and 4/O for the 4". Great action. I have gotten more bites with that setup than any other. The T.U.S.H. work great with Strike King Rage Swimmers, Kietech Fat Impact Swings and Reaction Innovations Skinny Dippers. If you haven't used those swimbait hooks before, I think you're gonna really like them.
