Road To The Superbowl 2026

I enjoyed the game. That Seattle defense was impressive and fun to watch. I personally think football at all levels needs more defense and less reliance on highly paid hot shot quarterbacks. I know I'm in the minority on that issue.

As for the half time show, I thought it was great. I'll admit my Spanish is not very good but I'm pretty sure every song was about bass fishing. You gotta love that! 🤣

I personally like defense, well known defenses that actually have a nickname.

Remember the no-name that would have pitched a shutout hadn't not been for Garo Yepremian - Dolphins.

Steel curtain - Steelers

Purple people eaters - Vikings

Orange crush - Broncos

Monsters of the Midway - Bears

Doomsday - Cowboys

Bullies of Baltimore - Ravens

Legion of boom - Seahawks

Dark side - Seahawks

Hey I just got a text from our New England member and former moderator @Low_Budget_Hooker congratulating the 'Hawks. Class act as always!

There was a streaker? Shows how enthralled I was with the game.

I am a dedicated and knowledgeable football fan but I have to say that the Super Bowl has become way more of a cultural, entertainment event than a football game these days.

I have begun to dislike it more as I've gotten older because of this. Just seems that the actual game is like nearly an afterthought now. I know it's the most-watched global event each year, so there's a lot of marketing and advertising that goes into it. I just wish it wasn't such a spectacle.

And before you pin me on this particular version, I am not into the half time show, period. Don't care who's doing it or performing. Don't watch it for the commercials. I don't watch 6 hours of pregame coverage because the coverage has been going on for 2 straight weeks.

Man! I REALLY wanted to go to the victory parade, but I just found out they're expecting more than 1 million fans there!

Yikes! They're expecting total gridlock.

I mean, it's a tribute to the immense loyal Seahawk fanbase known as the "The 12's". It will be an epic event. But with that kind of traffic, I'll watch the live coverage from home.

I went to the TN baseball national championship parade and wished I hadn’t. A bunch of people (including us) got stuck in market square with chests touching the person in front of them’s back in 90+ degree humid weather. A couple people passed out and the fire department was trying to get a side by side to them. They were yelling at us to move but there was nowhere to move. They finally gave up and just walked to the passed out people. We finally begged a restaurant to let us jump over a fence and get the heck out of there. They denied several attempts but finally realized it was a dire situation, my wife was definitely in panic mode

After the Chicago Bears 85 Super Bowl win I was a sophomore in high school and went with 2 female friends to the parade. Much like @TnRiver46 it was wall to wall people only we were freezing in Chicago. We stood for a few hours to watch the buses roll by with a few players hanging there drunk or hungover heads out the windows as they slow crawled by. I vowed then and there I’ll never attend another victory parade again.

Hey @gim, I had a feeling you’d pick up on that! Haha

I’m gonna be so real with you, I was dozing off in the middle of the 3rd qtr. I think I posted about the Seahawks well deserved win with about 1.5 min left and went to bed.

And yes, I had forgotten about it yesterday. Sorry, not trying to be a poor sport about it. Hopefully it wasn’t taken that way. I was just dog tired.

Good pick up

I actually had to scroll all the way back to page 13 of the thread to find the last time you posted that they lost if that makes you feel any better.

Oh right, that was after the Bills loss when they blew the big lead. They didn’t lose again after that…well until Sunday lol

I was working an off duty gig when the game was going on at a local movie theatre, thought it was gonna be closer lol.

I see that Seattle is favored to win the SB next year in the lastest odds.....Duh !

So was Philadelphia last year after mauling the Chiefs.

Seattle's defense played lights-out. Patriots o-line (with 2 rookies on the left side) shows why a good to excellent o line is so important. Go ask the Lions. I don't think Darnold had a good game, credit to pat's defense. I never have seen a sb halftime show, and proud of it. Hey - the Tigers signed Verlander for a year. The park will be sold out when he starts.

Chargers, Chiefs 15-1

49ers 17-1

Broncos 18-1

Texans 20-1

Jaguars 22-1

Bengals, Bears 25-1

Cowboys 35-1

Bucs 40-1

Colts, Steelers, Commanders, Vikings 60-1

Giants, Saints, Falcons, Panthers, Titans 100-1

Browns 150-1

Raiders, Jets 180-1

Dolphins, Cardinals 200-1
