I just noticed this, I'm pretty much the same way sometimes. If I know I have limited time I'll take a rod with a bucktail on it. Throw a couple of back-ups in a bag and put them in my pockets, I can run down the river and drift fish. And you're right, very simple!

Love the titanium frames. Last build was Fuji alconites, which was quite a while ago. The more I read about SiC the more I’m impressed with them.

Removing the clutter is minimalism which is supposed to be more simplistic.

So sorry @gim. We are seeing the decline in Abby due to diabetes and age. It's hard to watch for sure. Enjoy the time with her.

It's on my list to do. My smokes were installed in '08. I'll replace them this coming spring. They're all fine and work but I guess it's recommended they get replace every 10 years. Hoping I can just replace the heads. We'll see Oops

I liked the traffic patterns during Covid...you can keep the Covid equation out of it I agree with @MN Fisher. the volume of traffic is everywhere. There no "rush hour" anymore.

I’m not but I feel like I am. I do save by making my own jigs - at least painting and applying the skirt materials. I may get some new trailers every year as well but that’s about it. I spend maybe $50 per year on lures. I think I may have burn just under $100 in gas last year. My biggest expense is winterizing and commissioning the engine on the boat every year.

Sorry to hear that Mike. I am tired of ppl on the road who do the wrong thing but feel entitled to do so. This subject can be a huge discussion, but I don't have the energy anymore to deal ppl like you just had. I would have done exatcly as you did and avoided confrontation.
