Cork or Foam Grips
I have used both and I would pick foam if I could. IMHO it's more comfortable and durable. Most importantly it's not slick when wet. I don't perspire, I SWEAT and end up having to try and keep cork dry . It might, but I just can't see how it would cut down on the "feel"... skillet

Just how much drag do you need?
Maybe I should one day but I've never set drag with a scale. I know it's not set very high. I always use my thumb when I set the hook. Haven't had it happen often (not often enough anyway :'() use my thumb for added drag... skillet

Texas Rig
If you think you are fishing T-rigged baits slow, you could probably slow down some more. If you've ever watched the critters that stay on the bottom of the lake, you can see how slow and deliberate their movements are... skillet

pics of top secret "lunker lake"...ssshhhh!!!
Nice fish! You do know that you don't have to worry about the secret. All members are sworn to the utmost secrecy :-X! I used to fish this 1 lake in a city park at night. I caught a nice fish one night and one set of treble hooks got caught at the bottom of his gills. She was bleeding quite a bit when I got her landed , so I took her home. I woke the wife up somewhere around 2:00 so I would have a witness of how nice the fish was. After that she was pretty tired of any pics, stories or otherwise ;D... skillet

skipin a lure
There have been a number of threads on this subject. It's easier with spinning gear than baitcasting. One of KVD's videos tries to explain it some. Can't do it myself :-[, from the threads I've read the only trick is practice, practice and more of the same (practice) ... skillet

New Respect for Pros!
I remember a double page pic in a BassMaster issue (forget who it was) where the wind had to be gusting to 30mph and the swells were at least 4ft! "You're a better man than I, Gunga Din." Kipling skillet

How to Roll Cast a baitcaster or Spin?

For you "older" guys...time for fishing glasses????
Have been using "cheaters" (Walgreens Walley world) for a number of years. As hard as I am on glasses, I'll keep using them. Just don't like changing sun glasses for glasses and then back again. I'm gonna try what TRYTOFISH mentioned ... skillet
