If they want to stay in business they need to be lowering their prices. I can order stuff a whole lot cheaper than buying from them. I don't have to make a 10 minute drive to the store so I'm saving on gas too.

Back in the 1990s B.A.S.S. had their tournaments and then had a speed contest afterwards. They set up some kind of course on the water and they all had to see who could run it the fastest. This was absolutely stupid since it had nothing to do with finding out who the best anglers were. I was glad when they did away with it.

I would take the 6 ratio reel. The fastest reel I own is a 6.8:1 or about 28" IPT. Never felt like I needed anything any faster. I still use 5.1:1 reels a for a lot of techniques.

I have gotten tired of it to some degree. The last couple of years have really been bad for me. The fishing has been bad and I don't have any new places to fish unless I want to drive long distance and spend the night. I normally try to fish once a week when I can but I also have to think about the expenses involved. I haven't been since November and I haven't missed it. Maybe by spring I will have a better outlook on it.

On a good day one or two baits. On a tough day I may not be able to keep track of how many bait and colors I use.

I keep hand sanitizer in the car, truck, and boat. Always use hand sanitizer when stopping to eat lunch. Just got a small first aid kit for the boat for Christmas. The one I had in the boat had gone out of date a long time ago.

Either a Zoom Baby Brush Hog or an Ultra Vibe Speed Craw. I rig either one on a 2/0 offset shank round bend hook with an 1/8 ounce sinker most of the time. With worms hook size varies depending on the size of the worm.

It depends on what I am using. If I'm fishing a worm, craw, or jig it is usually a drag retrieve. If I'm using a creature bait it is usually a lift and drop.

Never caught anything on a ned rig or a Rattle Trap. I only caught one on a dropshot. The only lipless bait I ever caught fish on was a Bayou Boogie and that was well over 50 years ago.

I had to do this to the handles on my rods. I used Dap Golden Oak wood filler in a squeeze tube. After it dries then sand it down and put U40 Cork Sealer on it. The color is not an exact match. It is slightly darker than the cork. Be sure you put some masking tape on the rod blank and around the reel seat to keep them from getting scratched up or wood filler on them. I bought some little 1" wide foam brushes to put the sealer on and it doesn't take much. If you go to Flukemasters website he has a video about doing this.

I agree with you about that. There is one pro I absolutely will not buy anything he endorses.

This is the knife I have carried for several years. Case medium stockman. I have also had Buck knives. I also keep a Leatherman multi tool in the boat.

It was good that I had a knife with me the day I ended up getting a bunch of braid wrapped around my trolling motor prop some idiot had left in the water.

Maybe you need to pack them in your tackle for your trips to Mexico and try them down there. They might work better for green bass than brown bass.

You will be okay in retirement. It is easy. It only took me 15 or 20 minutes to go used to having freedom and happiness an not having to get up go to work anymore.

I don't buy anything just because some pro endorses it. I buy what I want to use. I sometimes think some of the videos promoting baits are done because sales are down and the company wants to get the sales back up.

We plan to have a quiet new years eve. Used to go out to eat and then either go to a movie or come home and watch tv. Now with covid being so bad we will probably order something to eat, go get it and bring it back home to eat. Definitely not getting in any crowds right now if I don't have to.

Is this a good SMB color or more for LMB? I might try it in a creek I fish some that has both in it.

I like black, blue, or green flake in soft plastics. I can't get a fish to look at a bait with red flake in it.
