Lew’s baitcaster— can’t remove spool
On my Lews reels you have to pull the pin on the right side and twist up on the side plate on the left side. When you put it back on have the side plate raised up and twist it down in to place and the pin will lock it in.

What are your best rods and reels for the money?
I also got the 200 size. One will be on a medium rod and the other will be on a medium heavy. Both will probably get 8# Sufix Siege put on them. I didn't need a combo. I just needed new reels. With them being on sale and an extra $20 discount I got two reels for $106. I don't mean to insult anybodys equipment but the green on the Lews rod and reels is so ugly I wouldn't buy them.

What are your best rods and reels for the money?
Thank you for telling me about these reels. I have 2 of them on order. I had wanted aluminum reels instead of carbon graphite reels. Everything else I had seen in aluminum was more than I wanted to spend.

What are your best rods and reels for the money?
I will check them out. Right now I am considering the Daiwa Exceler LT spinning reels.

What are your best rods and reels for the money?
Might as well start this thread up again. What are your recommendations for the best spinning reel under $100 bucks? Looking to replace a couple of my older ones and wanted to find out what is good and what to avoid. I am looking at reels in the 2000 to 2500 size range.

Cranking mono?
I use Sufix Siege in 12# for crankbaits along with spinnerbaits and topwaters. This line has worked very well for me.

It Finally Paid Off
It was a tough battle but I got them in without using a net. I really wasn't sure of the best way to rig them. I have a pack of 4" and a pack of 5". I caught these on the 4" ones.

It Finally Paid Off
Being a member here finally paid off. Went fishing today on a creek close by. I had watched Glenns video and read all the posts about Hula Grubs. I bought a couple of packs last year. I finally caught something with them today. I got a huge LMB all of 10" long. Later I caught a monster SMB about 6" long on it. I had the grub mounted on a shaky head. Glad to know I bought something that will catch fish. LOL. The best part was stopping to fill the truck up with gas before coming home for a $1.28 a gallon.

Almost got scammed/ robbed
We had credit cards compromised twice and the cards never left our possession. The second time we got a call from the card company about suspicious charges on our card. When I talked to the credit union the called the card company and found out the cards had already been cancelled and they were sending us new ones. I don't have a shielded wallet but I do keep it in a sleeve that is supposed to stop card readers from taking your info.

EXECUTIVE ORDER
I have to wonder with everyone being stuck together what will the birth rate be and how many will be going to divorce court when this is all over with.

Pulled one over on the wife.
The rods may have a better chance of surviving this than he does.

Small update
Glad you were able to get out again. I got out last week for the first time since my knee replacement surgeries. I caught one small one. It was the same way with everybody being on the lake. I had a rough time just finding a ramp where we could get a parking space after we put in. Hope you get many more fishing trips.

How many have mostly abandoned the Ned Rig
I have quit using the ned rig. I used to fish it in a creek but I never caught anything with it. I got frustrated by getting hung up and losing the bait every time I used it. I would much rather throw a shaky head or small Texas rigged soft plastic.

I like Bass Resource
I agree with @DitchPanda about you having very interesting topics and replies. What I don't like about Bass Resource is with all the info about different lures and techniques is how much money it has cost me. Lol

Advice for new anglers
Hello and welcome to the forum. You need to learn Texas rigged soft plastics. Ribbon tail worms and creature baits are good. For crankbaits in clearer water use more natural shad, bluegill, or crawfish patterns. In murky water chartreuse or firetiger are usually a good choice.
