We have two confirmed cases here in our county and ten in the state. They have cancelled the boys and girls sweet sixteen basketball tournaments. They have also cancelled the St. Patricks day parade and no fans will be allowed at Keenland for the opening day of horse racing. The governor is requesting all churches to close this weekend and all school districts to close for at least two weeks. Since I am close to being 70 I guess I will stay home and avoid being in the crowds at the BPS spring sale. Will have to get the boat out and go fishing instead.

I can't catch anything on any lipless crankbaits, top water frogs and toads, or a ned rig. I have never used an A rig and don't plan to. As for colors black and red flake and watermelon red are are absolutely worthless for me.

I am well past the age of 55. Can I still be part of the Quarantine?

I just use one rod for spinnerbaits. All of my spinnerbaits are 1/4 to 1/2 ounce so one is all I need. It is a 6' M BPS Bionic Blade.

I bought my first boat in 1982 or 83 from a fellow I worked with for $350. It was a 14' aluminum V hull with a 12HP outboard. When my BIL had quit fishing he gave me an 18HP outboard for it. I had also bought a better trailer for it. Coming home from a fishing trip in Sept.1999 I got rear ended while sitting at a stop light about 3 miles from home. Boat, motor, and trailer were all damaged pretty bad as well as some damage to the truck I had at the time. After everything was settled with the insurance company I started looking for a new boat. In January 2000 I bought a 1998 Bass Tracker 175 with a 40 HP outboard. In 2002 I blew the outboard and replaced it with another 40 HP and I still have it.

Had to put a new muffler on the car the other day. When I got through I was exhausted.

Glad you had a good trip and made it back okay. You are two steps ahead of me. I have never been to Texas and I have never seen the ocean. My wife has wanted me to go to the ocean and try deep sea fishing. Just never got there and I live a lot closer to the ocean than you do.

I never use a trailer or a trailer hook. I meant to mention earlier I had caught fish with all types of blade configurations but My personal preference is to use Colorado blades. I seem to have better luck with them.

According to an article on Tackle Tour they will be sold on the Okuma website. I guess you will need to check that way about getting one.

I normally use a 6' M BPS Bionic Blade rod with a 1st generation Revo S in 6:4.1 with 12# Sufix Siege line.

I like the 6th Sense Crush 50x in backwater bluegill. Also had good luck on the Rapala DT series for SMB on their bluegill color. Caught several on the Storm Arashi in bluegill but it has been discontinued.

Maybe some day you will get a winning lottery ticket. I would have to win the lottery to buy them.

I don't use them as much as I used to. I need to start using them again. I like the War Eagle full size and the Screaming Eagle spinnerbaits. Spot remover, blue herring, and mouse have been my best colors. Also catch a few on white and chartreuse. I have mostly 1/2 ounce and a few in 3/8 ounce.

I use Sunline Super Florocarbon on baitcasters for soft plastics and jigs. I don't use it on spinning reels. The floro lines I have tried didn't work well on spinning reels.

The Ollies on Richmond road has been here for several years But it is always a crap shoot as to whether they will have any fishing stuff.

Thanks for the info but these are a lot more expensive than I can pay just for a handle.

I haven't counted mine. They haven't built a calculator with enough numbers for me to get a total. I have more fishing tackle than my wife has pairs of shoes.

I also like the the double handles on a spinning reel. The only reel I have seen with them is a Shimano Spirex. Are double handles available for other reels like Daiwa or only for Shimano?

Forgot to mention the coldest temp we've had so far this winter was 12*F. Sorry you have to deal with so much snow and cold. We have had so much rain I thought we might have to build an ark.

Our weather forecasters talk about now being in meteorological spring. They say we had the 5th warmest winter on record and 14th for the least snowiest. We had 3.4" of snow this winter. This makes two years in a row I haven't had to use my snow blower. If our winter weather is going to stay like this I need to sell my snow blower to @A-Jay and let him teach his dogs how to use it.
