  7. I get a yearly catalog from BPS and have done so since the mid nineties. You can still order by phone. Did a check and you can find competitors products like Abu Garcia, Lew's, Shimano, Berkley, St. Croix, G. Loomis, Fenwick, Falcon, Duckett, Daiwa and others. Zoom and Strike King are prominent. 13. In my neck of the woods on the gulf coast of Mississippi salt water fishing is king. You can fish off the piers that dot the entire coast with catches of reds, specks, flounder, sharks and other various species. Nice catches, too. There are flats boats and skiffs being used in the shallows targeting mostly reds and speckled trout in the numerous marshes. Sometimes largemouth bass in the brackish waters ... Boats are docked that are used for deep sea fishing. Tournaments with significant prize money are common. Now that doesn't mean there are not many private fresh waters and public in nearby locations that have bass fishermen fishing those waters but not near as many as the salt water. I've done brackish saltwater fishing before for the bass and thoroughly enjoyed it. It exposes you to fishing the tide and the many twists and bends of a marsh. If you are looking for fast action, the marsh is the place to be. 90 percent of my fishing is done in fresh water now for the LMB in private and public waters. There are state waters that offer good bass fishing that also include recreational boaters but there are no fishing only lakes where outboards are not allowed provided by the state without having to drive about an hour and half and up one way ... To each his own ... good fishing ...
  14. Just to throw my 2 cents in ... the state of Mississippi does not take a back seat to no one when it comes to alligators ... we get some big ones too ... very big ... avoid them ... avoid them ... and stay away from a clutch of eggs ... they are excellent parents ... good fishing ...

I downsize my presentations from frogs to spinner baits ... lure size mostly 1/8 and 1/4 oz with various lures .. sometimes as low as 1/16 oz ... these are not the only waters I fish but it has been my experience pond bass respond better to a downsized presentation that I usually will not use on a reservoir ... other than plastic worms ... good fishing ...
