Few small orders. Just more stuff I didn't NEED. I'm a Sniper guy but figured I'd try Invizx on one of my reels.

Have never fished that exact wakebait. But most wakebaits perform best the slower you retrieve them. But they all have their sweet spot. You'll figure out what that is. Wakebaits are awesome tho. The 6th Sense Speed Wake can be burned fast, and the strikes on it can be vicious!

Are you planning to use the beef jerky for fishing? Maybe on a dropshot?

Just kiddin', looks like a nice haul of tackle

Wish it was a little bigger as I'm becoming more and more addicted to big baits, but I'm looking forward to the strikes for sure!

Awesome stuff by the way, big fan of that Invisx on my spinning setups.  Just so manageable.

I just watched a nice video on it, and the guy was saying he likes it just as much if not more in diving mode.    TW didn't even have them because I always go there to read reviews lol.

You'll have to report back and let us know how you like it. If you want a bigger wakebait check out the PB Rat. The 3 piece puts out some nice commotion and just has a cool clacking sound. The 2 piece is great as well. Little pricey tho. But the entire body is solid resin, so it's very durable.

Another big bait is the Baitsanity Antidote Tug. It's 9" and 4 oz. I haven't fished it but have watched a few videos on it. Matt talks about it in TB's latest gear review video. I like the sounds of it and how it'll jump out of the water as well.

That jerky was gone within 2 minutes of me opening the box. Nice little gift Omnia throws in from time to time.

Haha you real monkies in here are killing me ?

I've been wanting one of those rats for sure.   Really like the idea of the impregnated resin on those PB Rats.

I can feel myself getting sucked down the Big Bait hole, it's not even for the original reason I got into them for.   I got into it wanting baits to target the biggest fish in my lake, then when I saw how the fish react to them it changed.   There is a whole novelty to catching fish on big crazy baits.

It's just a totally unique form of Bass fishing that happens to yield larger than average catches I'm finding.   Hasn't caught me any giants yet but 50% of the fish I catch are 3-5lbs.     Outside of a fullsize chatterbait, I can't think of another bait that does that for me.

Yeah, just make sure you enjoy that kind of fishing before you jump in all the way. A lot of people go nuts buying all these expensive baits but then don't have the patience to fish them. You're never gonna catch the numbers on them like you will other conventional baits. But like you said there's just something about catching a bass on a big bait that get's the heart pumping.

That was a big turning point for me over the last week, I realized I had the ability to chunk a 7.5" Swimbait for 5hrs, whereas I can't flip or drag a ned for 5hrs.

Heck I'm already too invested to turn back lol, with the rod and reel and now a box full of big baits, I'm into big swimbaits/a-rigs more than anything else since starting back.

I knew I was in trouble a few days ago when I started thinking I needed a second big bait rod/reel ?

If you're looking for a rod for your lighter big treble hook baits, check out the Jenko Savant.?

They should for the cost, but most of the stuff I've bought from them has been worth every penny.

New vs. old 110jr+1 in GG Threadfin.    Old one has caught 125+ fish since mid December, including a solid 7.2.    If I were to amortize the cost on that particular bait based on fish caught, it would be one of the cheapest baits in the box.

I'm not so much a MB fanboy as I am a JDM fanboy I think.   I lose all rational when it comes to JDM baits.   I'm responsible for the most part until I see pretty Japanese baits ?

Last little order before spring. I should be on the water within 2 weeks. I’m foaming at the mouth.

My fishing buddy got one last fall. It swims great.

There are times where they want it cranked slowly just under the surface. The Shellcracker G2 can be fished this way and most of the time this is the only way they'll hit it around here. Crank it down just a little, then let it float up, but continue reeling it in keeping it subsurface. Should be able to fish the MB the same exact way, and with its torpedo profile it's very eatable. That's one of the reasons a TK is so deadly. Its profile.

So I fished the SuWitch over the course of 5hrs, of which a good hour was spent with this bait.

Pros:

I caught 3 fish within it's first 10 cast, however on the third it hooked a fish badly and decided to wait until I found bigger fish.    I continued to fish it but never caught another fish.     Those first three schooler sized fish came when I had it in dive mode, where it would run close to 4 ft on 16lb sniper which is thinner than most, and fluoro so it sinks and helps.     I read a review that said it's just dynamite for active fish feeding on shad......out of those 10 cast, 5 of those were burned before I found the active fish blowing up shad in 1-4ft, then it produced 3/5 casts with a lost fish.    It was ridiculous.      There is something about this bait that drives them wild when chasing shad, that much is clear.  In Dive mode it looks very similar to the awesome body roll and swim of the Magdrafts.   Similar part of the water column as well.

Cons:

The hooks are all wrong on this bait, it's needs much larger and heavier gauge hooks.

I'm new to wake baits, but this thing won't wake until about half way through the cast with the rod tip held at 45 degrees regardless how slow I tried to run it when it landed.   It would run about 6"-1ft halfway then start waking.

I really dislike the size of this bait.   While it's no problem to throw a 1 1/8th oz lure on a 1oz rated rod, the relative light weight to longer length, fatter profile, and a multi jointed make this bait about as aerodynamic as a ham sandwich.   Not to mention you need to find a solid 1oz rated moving bait rod, lots of fish will be lost on this bait using H rods.

To this point, it's just in that gray area.....it'll still get hit by every dink in the lake, but I'm sure the big fish will eat it too.   Scale it up, or scale it down, the current size just doesn't really do anything for me.    Obviously, an opinion.

It says you can walk the dog and other secondary movements, I couldn't achieve them in a manner I found confidence inspiring.

In summary, I'm not upset at the purchase, I'm not even disappointed, but I'm not wow'd like the Shimano Swimbait recently wowed and continues to wows me.  That bait was pretty much instant magic.    This bait has huge potential if I can commit a rod and time to it.    I doubt the fish in your body of water have seen a bait like this one, I know mine haven't.

I had to grab a couple more things, wanted to get some swim baits, swim jigs. They also had the gold blade flashy swimmers a couple lipless and a flat side crank that the pike will probably ruin, oh well it’s a lure and only $9. Can’t catch fish if you’re afraid to lose your precious baits lol.

2 packs 3.8 fat impact black blue, deep blue, smokin white

2 packs 4’ menace blue sapphire, Smokey shad

2 dirty jig swim jigs 3/8 black blue, 1/2 California tactical shad

2 lvmax 500 Bp golden shiner, magma peacock

1 quake 70 bluegill fire

1 rapala og slim 6 red craw dad

1 pack flashy swimmer 1/0-1/8 oz gold willow blades

I will use the keitech as a trailer and stand alone, same with the menaces. I fish very dirty water so I wanted to experiment a little bit lol.

Although I should be acquiring deep diving cranks, some how I ended up with a few Whipper Snapper 110s in my hands. At $10 a pop, I couldn’t pass fleshing out some deeper diving jerkbaits to the arsenal.

Aren't the Whipper Snappers only $7?

I know the 13 Fishing Loco Special jerkbaits are reg. $15.

$10 Canadian = $7 USD.

The Locos look good too, but can't find them locally.

I might not keep them both but I got suckered in to the “get them before they’re gone, we might not get more for a year or two” sales pitch. Lol
