Grabbed a couple more things to fish the cold windy snowy day, see the monkey even blames the weather as a reason to buy lol. A couple blade baits, couple cranks, spinner bait.

2014 order?

  • Super User

Finally sat down and organized the 350+ Ned heads I had hanging around in a variety of places, many that I had picked up over last year and this winter. Even have room for a few more in that little Plano 3600 ?

I don't understand the hype for the DRT baits - they don't impress me at all. I have swimbaits that seem to do everything better. I get they are kind of a jack of all trades type bait - which is perfect as plastic injection molded bait - but they are priced like a fine tuned bait. I don't get it.

The Rafa glides though, I like those.

I don't know honestly. It's probably a supply and demand thing as much as anything else. I haven't thrown one yet so I can't comment on the action. I just happened to catch a couple of releases and figured I could probably get my money back out of them if I don't end up liking them.

I wanted to see how fast an Omnia Fishing order was compared to TW. It took 10 days for my last TW order but only 4 for OF. I’m never in a huge rush when I normally get stuff, but it’s nice to know if I do need something sooner(with free shipping of course). I can.

Also, you can’t beat free beef jerky!

Although I had to beat the monkey into submission when my wife brought me to Wal-Mart earlier as I have a true love for the Strike King line of jigs they carry especially the finesse jigs I did appease him with a clearance item and a rod cover.  P.S yes I’m drinking tonight ?C63547D4-01E8-40DF-9496-D0110FAD386C.jpeg.94c6d8e5578865e40b6d0c6d056f6950.jpeg

I got a few more things lol, the jackal tn 50 lipless we’re on clearance for $9 a piece. I couldn’t resist, they got more colors of two taps. I wanted to try the red damiki vault in 1/2oz but they only had 3/8, 3/4oz I went with the 3/8oz. I wanted to get another pack of skirts but had to check my stash first. I also got another swim jig.I am really starting to understand my addiction, I catch some fish on a certain type of lure and then go nuts buying different colors to try out. I base it off what has worked in the past plus what I think might work. I know that I have a problem but it tends to make me feel good getting things to try. I haven’t encountered any financial difficulties as of yet, but if I keep going like I am it’s not far off. I need to get a cage.

Time to restock. Stuff I have bought over winter.image.jpeg.4d55896156c017c4bd134f5140314742.jpegt3.jpg.4d7f3ef3a3c68d45e1162692ed4d2b34.jpgT2.jpg.c51460795980578cff67bd2c24ee284c.jpg

Bought these tonight. I almost never use a lizard except for with c-rig in the summer. But for $2.99 a pack I might try flipping these around this weekend.

I have more plastics than I remember, probably a few. The one I recall was a 6 inch manns jelly worm black with chartreuse tail. I have caught fish on it, I think that both of those color combinations should be great.

They are both great. Two of my favorites.

What hook do y’all use for 6” magdraft freestyle? I bought some VMC drop dead 5/0 but they don’t have a wide enough gap.

I use the 7/0 Lazer Trokar Swim Blade hook. I have friends who swear by the 8/0 Beast Hook.
