New toy that I mentioned was coming. I don’t want to do Midway USA any discredit. The order arrived well ahead of today. They have fast shipping.

Lews KVD composite cranking rod 7’4” MH mod. An @A-Jay special.

It’s mainly gonna be a cranking stick for me, I think, but I can see myself using it for potentially a variety of other things as well.

I do like it under first impression, but this is definitely different than a graphite stick. I have it with a REVO Winch Gen 4, one of my favorite reels

Restocked on my main Fluke colors but decided to throw a few new colors into the mix. The Rocky Top color should produce. I had really good luck last spring with the 6th Sense Flush in the Baby Gill color, which is orange with some green pumpkin/watermelon color. The Bone color should be great, because, well...it's Bone. And the 3rd color is Pink Champagne. Never seen that color in Fluke before so figured I'd play around with it on my smallie lakes/rivers. Of the three I'm really liking the bone.

Grabbed a few of the new YUM Hellgrammites. Planning on mostly ned rigging them. They're a little bigger than I anticipated, which I actually like.

Do you mind me asking where you purchased the Yum Hellgaramites at @NorthernBasser? I found them on lure net but they wanted something like $10 for shipping...

Did you see that Vols-themed Camas they had at the Classic?

I didn’t go to the expo this year, just stayed on the water. I need to look up a photo!

That's where I bought them but I added enough stuff ($35) to get free shipping.

Darn it. Saw those Beeble's on a thread here and knew I had to get some... to fill the order out got a few other spinnerbaits too.20230415_152805_compress44.thumb.jpg.8c727f5389cdbfe36a7eb53c6b0bfbe9.jpg

Man those Hellgrammites look like smallie candy.

Got a new WikedStyx Custom rod by FishStyx today. Paired it with a Lews Tournament MP.FDB8E979-9FBB-46B7-A254-8A397B064318.thumb.jpeg.3bce7b5e2288fa678a2efbdaa4077e6c.jpeg

Right?? Any smallies but I'm really thinking river smallies.

After cracking all the males in shallow and loosing the bigger females out Deep yesterday the bait monkey was whispering in my ear. So I was in owosso for my daughters soccer game and stopped by Dunhams sports to pick up more spring time and blue gill inspired baits.  Black and blue paca slim, sapphire blue pack chunk, GP pack chunk, blue gill grits side 5 and a smithwick suspending pro rogue in black back silver body orange belly.

i was using paca chunks and other net baits when I first started bass fishing and kinda swore them off.  I don’t think I was using what I had correctly.  Giving them another shot. The chunks will work with smaller jigs. Paca slims I think will be a change up from the chigger craw.  I actually do very well on black and blue plastic but, don’t have a lot for whatever reason I’m my bag.   Frites side is obviously for spring time and when ever a cold front comes through.  Smithwick rogue will be for the titabawassee and Saginaw rivers once the rivers open back up once the walleye are done spawning

i there’s out probably $150-$200 worth of soft plastics last weekend.  If I hadn’t used it 2-3 years out it went

Got a bunch of chatterbait trailers, some more A-rigs and Jigheads for them. Also got 3 flavors of pro-cure(Alewife, Craw and Shiner) and a few other things.

The Pack Chunk and Grits Side sounds like baits you get off Wish.com. :tongue23:

(NetBait does have some great soft plastics)

I got a couple more things that I wanted to try this year, I am going to switch from stick baits to tubes and see how it goes. I plan on using speed worms, trick worms and rage craws also. I also got a jabber jaw to compare to the axis 2.0 to form a opinion. I have a idea for the salty core tubes, I am thinking about using my owner haymaker 2/0 hooks to see how they work with them. The body looks thin enough that I should get penetration but I will see when I rig one up.

Although I don’t know for sure my local Walmart isn’t offering that deal ☹️. I’m going to have to stop in tomorrow to be sure ?

Been hearing good things about these. Going to give them a try.

Apologies for the terrible glare, but these x-zone finesse baits look great for drop shot or even neds. Also "needed" some more trailers and swammers.

Really looking forward to tossing these yamatanukis under some docks. Reminds me of a solid pieced ika.

I have this one. It's fun to fish but it's definitely light in tip department.  It excels with the Ned rig but I haven't found anything else yet that I like to fish, on regular basis, with it. Great rod though.  Let us know what you think.?

Some re-stocks and a few new baits I've been wanting to try. The Strike King Scounbug looks like it's gonna be a winner. Nothing earth-shattering but I really like the slender craw design. After hearing all the hype about Bassman spinnerbaits I figured I'd give them a shot. They don't seem like anything special out of the package, so hopefully they perform better than they look. I'm always tinkering with different Chatterbait trailers, even tho there's already enough great ones out there. But these Pro Point Machete Minnow's really intrigued me. I bet they're gonna look great in the water.

Those Machete Minnows look fire, all that stuff does.   You have great taste in tackle, I know because I get jelly when you post ?
