Slowly buying bigger and bigger swimbaits.   8" is now my biggest.

I saw one on tackle warehouse that's 9 1/2"   You need one of those.  I can't believe I got one of the Shimano 7 1/2" swimbaits.  I also can't believe I caught an 11 inch bass on it.

What hook do y’all use for 6” magdraft freestyle? I bought some VMC drop dead 5/0 but they don’t have a wide enough gap.

Owner Weighted Beast Hook

Really had some difficulty finding a black terminator spinnerbait the last while here.  Finally located them on a Canadian outfitter website.  Unfortunately its only the stainless version because the titanium one is discontinued, but still better than none.  Black has been dynamite for me the past two seasons.

Just ordered some more vision 110s and various other things. I'm really excited to try the new 6th sense divine spinnerbait.  My biggest complaint with most spinnerbaits is their trailers keepers are garbage or non existent. The screw lock seems fire. Hopefully the rest of the bait is top notch. I just need them to come out with more colors.

Went to my local store yesterday trying to find some more Ti buzzbaits and spinnerbaits, sales guy said pretty much nobody makes Ti stuff anymore because of the price.

I'd pay $20 bucks vs. $10 bucks for a Ti Buzzbait for sure.

Rapala bought out Terminator a number of years ago and immediately discontinued those because of the cost.  I've got about 4 or 5 in my tackle box, plus another 3 unopened in original packaging.  Terminator still makes the same ones they did before, just in stainless steel instead.

The durability is what sells me on those, they last for years compared to steel versions.  Pike absolutely love spinnerbaits up here and they will bend a steel one with one vicious assault.  I will say that eventually even the titanium version will break on you though too, just much later than a steel one.

The monkey got me outta nowhere.

The best part of ordering fishing stuff online is forgetting about the fact that I ordered anything at all, then the box shows up, and it's like a surprise gift from past me.

Got a couple things from Siebert. I can't wait to see what I get all of them snagged on.

I took advantage of the bps trade in to upgrade some spinning reels this year. Starting out with this one with and hoping for 28E4526F-FC54-4389-8921-12ECBB44CB25.thumb.jpeg.d35d64db0971c31a6cd4a492de8d8ad0.jpeg2 more this year. I was really torn between this and the Miravel. My decision was clinched with trading in a low end albeit literally like new casting reel and receiving what I paid for it in trade in value and having a $10.00 off $50.00 dollar purchase coupon.

Awesome reel, congrats!

Went to sportsman warehouse in traverse city and picked up some spring lures.  Spro RKcrawler 55 phantom green.  I have one of these in the same color in a size 50. The size 50 only go to 8 foot max and it’s been a good medium diving lure.  Hopefully the success translate to the 55

missle baby d bomb in ballistic cruiser, rage ned bugs in morning dawn and blue craw.  Strike king 1/8 oz tube jig heads, Mustad ultra point 2/0 and 3/0 with soft plastic hooks.  Hopefully these will work well with t-rigged tubes, and a smaller adjust a bubble bobber

Playing catch up on this thread. I’m pretty sure the wife has either killed or captured the Baitmonkey here. Doesn’t help I was going through my ‘stuff’ and I found a box from Karl’s I had forgotten about, 5 RES, a couple Stunnas, a couple Frits sides, and a Fuego. Oops!

A few more wood plugs to show from Japan - this group is smaller, 2-3 inches, and 3/16 to 3/8 oz.

On top, Zeal Plank prop-tail and Zeal Light Risk lip-crank

Two dog-walkers, Zeal terror 35 and Bass Pond Keel Chico.

This is the Keel Chico again, which I photographed next to another finesse plug I really like, the flap-tail Chico Frog.

If you're wondering how I find these on Yahoo.

I will go to a site like Oh! Chuck or Sawa, find something that interests me, toggle back and forth between English and Japanese on google translate.
Copy the Japanese ideograms, and search that on Yahoo - if you try searching English words on Yahoo, you get a lot of goop in return.  Buying also requires a broker, such as noppin.com, ZenMarket, or Rinkya.

Won this bait as a door price. Bucca baby bull Shad. How are these?

I went on a squarebill binge tonight at TW, I bought 4 Riot Reactor 1.5's because they looked really interesting and had some good reviews. I also bought an Ima Square Bill and a few 13 Fishing Scamps.

I guess the good news is that I didn't order enough to get the free t-shirt?

  • Super User

@Koz

I like Ima lures enough, they have a sticker on my kayak cooler.

Matsuya, btw, has a brick store, and is a big-time Yahoo.JP seller.

I love it when this happens. I don't track packages so that they will be sort of a surprise. I think I might be going insane
