Was thinking of grabbing a couple for my deep cranking rods.

Try the Gomexus store on amazon. Good deals there too.

So I bought a pair of Fishoholic to replace my costas and bought some Botepon Boat Bungee Dock Lines 4 the boat got that today.

Obligatory pics of my new reels. My wife asked why I needed new ones, I made her do a blind test between the Fuego CT, 23 Tatula TW, 25 Tatula SV TW and 21 Zillion SV. The ergonomics on the newer models are is a good step above and the real standout is the thumb rests, much flatter and narrower especially if you like hold your line to feel bites. Click drag is chef’s kiss!

Grabbed a Bucca BFS trick shad from discount tackle

These are being advertised everywhere as 3/8oz, even on the box. Bucca you are bad at math.

Also not sure why they would recommend a specific 0 power BFS rod but a 70 size reel and such heavy line. This and the wrong weight advertised is going to confuse a lot of people.

Actual weight 4.52 grams, just a hair over 5/32oz

@Peacedivision, I have two of them on the way. Where did you get them? There was 0 stock across the internet. I found them at amazon.

BTW, interesting fact about the weight, I am glad that I found someone like-minded to double-check everything. I got that by working in the aviation industry ✈️

I thought I was all set for 2026, but then Dick's buy three get three free sale pulled me back in. In addition to the Crush City soft plastics, I bought a MegaBass Vision 110. It's an expensive lure from Japan, so I'm guessing I'll be the first American angler to cast one. I'll let you know how it goes:

Oh, I have. I was joshing. However, when I cast the 110 the first time, I am expecting the clouds to part and angels to sing:

Those clouds will close and darken when you lose it (-$); check those knots!

Unless I catch a seven-pounder with it, if I lose it, I'd likely never buy another, but I rarely lose lures.

Scooped a couple of these as well. Went with the dark bluegill and the albino (I think). Excited to give them a go.

It's an awesome color. I got a 110 and a 110jr +1 in it and both have caught fish well. I wish I would have made a bigger investment and bought more.

hookrubber.jpg

Both of my examples had rear hooks that didn't want to release from the tail. Found a chunk of rubber I assume was supposed to be protecting the hook point jammed down the shank and inside the body. Once that was cleared the hooks released properly.

The tiny tungsten weights are also a bit of a pain, needed tweezers to remove the backing and place them. I left one unweighted to compare.

Picked up a few more mini max’s to add to the collection.

Also picked up my first ever batch of vision 110s. I told myself I would never do this, but here we are.
