Had to share this with you guys. Stopped at a local Walmart where I've gotten tons of soft plastics for 75 cents on clearance in the past. Couldn't find a price on a kvd crank so I price checked it..... $1.50. Needless to say I stocked up with what they had.  6 kvd squarebills, 2 red eye shads, spool of 30 lb spiderwire braid, and two packs of yum vibraking tubes for a grand total of 17 bucks!

DSG had the Lew's LFS baitcaster, normally $99, on sale for $79, another 20% off that and I ordered one for $60

Thanks for the tip.  I've never had much interest in Norman baits.  But for that kind of deal, hard to pass up!  Threw in a Chug'n'Spook Jr for good measure

Also - Dicks has the Lews Mach1 Baitcaster combo on sale for $89, but a guy on another forum said his store had marked those down to $49. Also said that his store didn't show them in stock online, but they had 2 of them.  YMMV.

That's a great deal for $49. Looks like they are getting rid of all the older Mach 1 baitcast combos as the new models have come out. Everything is the same except the new Mach 1 baitcaster has mag brakes only instead of the dual brakes the old ones have.

Where is it for $49? I could really use a cheap nice baitcaster.

One guy found them in-store @ his local Dick's marked down to that price.  I'm running by mine after work just to check.

So does that make the older Mach 1 a better reel, or at least less prone to backlashes on hero casts than the newer Mach 1?

I went to my local Dick's nothing left!  All Mach 1s gone!

The older Mach 1 looks to be a better reel to me. More bearings and dual brakes. $99 closeout right now at Tackle Warehouse. The new Mach 1 has fewer bearings, mag brakes only and different handle knobs. $119 at Tackle Warehouse.

Hit mine up - online doesn't show any in stock, but they had 4, but they were all priced at $89.97 and didn't ring up for less.

I guess I’m gonna hit dicks on my way to work. I could really use another setup, if I can grab it for $49 that would be great.

Even at $89 it's a good deal. I really like the Mach 1 rod. I liked it before I purchased the combo as I had one already. I bought it from DSG on sale for $35

 

DSG has a $10 off every $50 you spend online only purchases today. That brings that combo down to $79

They only had one right hand it was missing the soool tension knob so I didn’t price check it. I was only gonna grab it if it was $49. It’s not the set up I really wanted but for that I would of grabbed it.
