Just wanted to drop in and say hi to you all. I'm not as active 'round these parts anymore. Haven't bought anything in about 5 month. Haven't had the boat out in almost 5 months. Really sucks, but it'

I saw an interview with Skeet Reese during the last Elite event where he mentioned that the Pit Boss is going to move into the PowerBait Line.  With the new MaxScent stuff coming out, they may be folding Havoc up to make room on store shelves.  I can't even find MaxScent anywhere yet.

I got a pack today at bass pro shops, not the pit boss but the “general” max scent.

Irony.

Had to send in my Daiwa Tatula Elite Skipping Jig rod in yesterday to repair the first guide up from the reel seat. I had a chance to go fishing today so I used an old wright-McGill Skeet Reese Jig/Worm rod. Fishing my usually brush and rock piles felt like mush compared to what the feel like with the Tatula Elite. I just wasn’t really feeling much compared to normal.

Went into Scheel’s today with the wife because she wanted some new workout pants. I went up to the fishing section to browse and pass the time.

I found Tatula Elite rods on sale for $109.99 (vs. $179-219 regular). There was a 7’2” Heavy topwater rod, a 7’ MH Powerspin spinning rod, and a dropshot spinning rod. Multiples of each. I didn’t realize how much I liked my Tatula Elite until I went to something else.

I have been tossing around the idea of a heavier application spinning rod... anyone have any baitmonkey spray?

hate to see the havoc line disappear. go through a lot of pit bosses in a year.

if they move it to the powerbait line, it will probably go up in price

Yup. On TW, the Havoc Pit Boss is $2.99/pack. But now with the Powerbait name attached to it, it jumped to $3.99. The new ones aren't out just yet, though.

Dang, Added scent shouldn't be what justifies a $1 raise.

Although, the 4 for $14 Powerbait deal + $10 rebate deal now has something I'd prefer to stock up on more than chigger craws.

Amazon has the Daiwa Cronos 7' MLR for $88.83 (2 left), MSRP on Cronos rods is around $160.

As part of dicks flash sale you can get a lews speed spool lfs for $70. That's $30 off regular price

Anybody ever notice an eBay seller jacking up their prices when a coupon is running? I'd heard of it happening but until this recent 15% off sale had never seen it.

Ebay pays it if I'm not mistaken so im not sure why sellers would raise their prices. When I did the last 20% off it was max $200 as well.

MEGABASS OROCHI XX JIG & WORM

$199 normally $299

Megabass Orochi XX Jig & Worm | F6½-70XX

SPECIFICATIONS:  Length: 7'0" | Line: 12lb-25lb | Lure: 3/8 oz-1-1/2oz | Power: mEDIUM-Heavy | Action: Fast | MPN: F6.5-70XX

The F6½-70XX is a powerful rod, designed with a fast taper to deliver a quick uppercut and penetrating hook set with stationary lures like jigs, worms, Carolina rigs, and some swimbaits. Also suited for slow-rolling big spinnerbaits and heaving big, hard-pulling crankbaits, the F6½-70XX has the power to handle big baits, yet the lightness to control them with ease.

Man... I always wanted to try a MEGABASS!

I'm seeing Daiwa Tatula CT Type-R on eBay for 60ish bucks, but I'm reluctant to buy because the sellers have no reviews...

Anyone got one yet?  Should I try it?

sarasumner?

Sounds WAY to good to be true.....paypal/ebay might protect you somewhat...but, IDK....maybe try to contact seller first?

You can get a Fuego CT from several different highly reputable sellers for $68.  That's a much better deal than losing $60 and getting nothing.

I sent one of them a message plainly asking if it's legit, I doubt I'll get an answer.

That's the truth.  :)

Those 0 rated sellers looks really fishy to me.

Guys, we've been through this before. This is the second wave of cheap tatula reels that hit eBay with zero seller ratings. What it is is people's accounts get hacked and these listings get put under their account with out their knowledge. The orders will not get fulfilled. Just ignore them.

I picked up a Fuego Ct on ebay for $61 shipped. Lowest I saw a Tatula for was $83 but wasn't the ratio I wanted.

They probably aren't hacked accounts.  They were created yesterday.  Most likely bogus.

I've purchased a bunch of really cheap reels from those new sellers with no feedback. Always received the item as advertised. PP is really good about taking care of you anyways (at least they have me).

I order from them all the time. Never had an issue.

I will let you know. I ordered 2 Huk shirts. I did get an order conformation but that don't mean they are legit.

+1

Field Supply is legit.  I've ordered from them a few times.  Everything has been top quality.

When I was shopping for my Curado K, I found one for $40 and naturally hit the buy it now button. The transaction went through. The next day my money was refunded, the transaction didnt even show on my purchase order and the seller and the other sellers with Ks for under $60 as well. They were all in the US.

My guess is that they are cheap knockoffs that people buy, buy the same product from a big box store for MSRP, return knockoff to big box store for MSRP, and keep original for the knockoff price. There are zillions for $100 right now too.
