With the Ollie's store here it usually a crap shoot as to whether they will have anything in fishing. The last time I was there they didn't have a fishing section

Ollie's is also hit and miss in GA.

 

When it's good, it's great - picked up Sammy's for under $6 each in the past.

 

This year has been lots of Rapala Scatter Raps, plus Shadow Raps and Shadow Rap Shads in discontinued colors at around $6 each which is not awesome.

 

They have also had Senkos in oddball colors at $6/pack, which is not a truly fantastic price since Walmart and DSG sell them for about $6.25-6.50/pack just about everywhere around north GA.

 

 

1.0, 1.5, and 2.5 KVD square bills are $3.97 on Cabela's website. I passed because i'm stocked up on them right now. But, looks like a great deal.

I personally have the SLX in a 7.2:1 paired with that exact same rod and it just looks phenomenal. Haven't fished it yet as it's going to be my jerk bait setup this year but aesthetically the rod and reel were made for each other IMO.

I think the slx and citica feel and fish similarly.  The slx is just more compact which I prefer so I'd go that route.  Both excellent reels for that money. 

The codes FISH10 and THANKS10 stack on top of Rapala's "buy 10 get 20% off" sale. So DTs are only 5.50 each, which is 11% cheaper than getting them from TW during the labor day sale

You and me both! I ended up placing 2 orders too but I was able to keep it right around $110 so I consider that a success .

Well, the most critical part is receiving the order, incorporating it seamlessly into the exiting arsenal without anybody noticing!

When she then asks at some point: "Is this [enter tackle of your choice here] new?". You just respond very calmly: "Babe, I had this for years!" 

I have 3 different orders coming from TW (hopefully tomorrow) where I will be working from home (while she is on her job). Giving myself a tap on the shoulder myself!
