Digitaka, Asian portal fishing, Japan lure shop. There might be more but I’ve used these over the years.

Maybe bit off more than they could chew considering they acquired Plano last year and Savage Gear's parent this year?

2 colors of Stunna actually sold out in the last 30 mins as I was trying get the code and add lures to cart

I ordered that rod, the wife just picked it up a few mins ago. I’m gonna put either the Pflueger baitcaster I got half off from there or put my Curado on it. 17 lb mono and poppers or floating jerkbaits are my plan

I have one with a Revo S (Gen1) on it.  It is a GREAT rod and at $20 it is a steal!

Are you talking about the 6'10 MH Expride we were talking about last night? That's a casting rod.

If only they had Savage Gear stuff on their site. I bought the Black Ops rod this past fall and it's great. 

I hope everyone's rod arrives in one piece. Pure Fishing has stopped communication after I did what they told me to do with filing a UPS claim for them. Won't return emails or calls. I'll have to contact my credit card company. What a pain for a 95.00 rod.

Wife picked up my rod and post office documented the box was showing a crack and a crease. I’ll have look at it tonight. My nephews rod is out for delivery today and I’m nervous about it. 2 reels came in day or 2 ahead of the rod. It’s always something

All my boxes seem to have some form of small damage, but so far, no snapped rods or any broken guides... keeping fingers crossed. I'm sorry this happened  I wonder if we can 'refuse' shipment before the UPS guy hands it over if the box is that damaged and rod damaged?

I also picked up a black ops when they were on clearance (7'3"MH).  It really is a good looking, well built rod.  Seat is comfy.  I thought they were going to go cheaper, but now most aren't even on sale.

That's the one I got as well. Very versatile. What are you using it for mostly? I like having 2-3 different swim jig rods rigged up at the same time, so that's mainly what I used it for in the short amount of time I've had it. 

 

Edit-Actually I have the 7'1 MH.

I've never had a broken/damaged rod and 16 of the 20 rods I own were purchased online.

 

Course the fact that the places I purchase from always use heavy-walled tubes might have something to do with it.

I have never had an issue either.

I have.  Which is why I stopped doing it.  Then there's the fact that you can't pick it up and hold it and touch it before buying it if you buy it online, unseen.  Rods are one of those things that I need to see in person before purchasing.  Shoes are yet another to ensure a good fit.

Went down to FF in Carver to check them out before hand...ya, they carry them there.

That's what I did before I bought Costa sunglasses.  Try them on in store and buy them online.

 

I'm gonna guess that most people buying rods online do not try them out at a retail store ahead of time though.  Its a good idea.
