Yup.  I ordered two rods.  Got one I ordered and one I didn't.  I have absolutely no use for the wrong one they sent but I'm guessing I'll be eating that one.

Did you end up placing an order with GrandeBass? I got email on Dec. 2 saying my stuff shipped. As of today tracking for USPS still says 'pre-shipment'. I called GrandeBass and emailed them last few days with no answer/response.

That code is no longer active.  I did get an order placed last night, but talked myself into a couple of zenon rods.  Apparently the fishing gods said 'nope'

I did and I'm experiencing the same.

 

Technically my e-mail said my order is "on the way", not "shipped" but the USPS tracking still says "pre-shipment" also.

 

I'm not in a hurry for these but this is a bit irritating when you're already paying more for shipping than seems reasonable.

Yeah, I guess mine does say on the way. But almost a week later after getting that email, and they still haven't shipped it? Like you, I'm not in a hurry either. But having never ordered directly from them before, I'm not sure what exactly to expect. So the irritating part is them not answering their phone (called multiple times and there's no voicemail option even), emailed them and even sent message through Facebook Messenger. And nothing.

Their shop is about 45 minutes from my house. I've e-mailed them a couple of times in the past asking if I could stop by when I'm in the area and buy direct from the source but they don't answer. I dunno.

Sounds like customer service is definitely lacking. Perhaps something that happens always, or maybe even more right now if they are overwhelmed with orders! I love to support the small guys, but also struggle when the customer service is tough...

 

Despite some of these good sales, we always have the option of what retailers we like to work with based on many things such as customer service. I suppose you could have bought the same Grande Bass baits from Tackle Warehouse, but maybe at a higher price, etc (even though they did have a 20% off black Friday sale...)

 

Anyways, I hope everyone gets their Grande order direct and things work out! 

 

Side note, I called Dobyns rod direct yesterday and they immediately picked up the phone and I had a nice convo with a human. Always been happy with Dobyns!
