Can get 6.2 Curado DCs from Midway right now for $154 before tax.  That’s pretty crazy. 
 

Can also get TFO Tactical Bass  7'4" glass cranking rod for $69. 
 

That’s seriously one heck of a cranking setup for $221.

I called them yesterday and asked what Open Box was. I specifically asked if it was items that had been returned. 

 

The representative, said "no, not returns. Just items that have been taken out of the package for some reason, demo, etc, or the original packaging just isn't in tact any more".

I don’t think we need to give midway any thoughts on these not being considered open box

DAMSON I thought I got a deal on this combo last year for $174. 

 

At $113 that's an easy choice bro, reel feels real good in my palm - more like a 100. I plan to swap out the bearings to hybrid, only cuz I wanna, and its been more than reasonable in its behavior, pretty sure its just like many of the other LFS reels they got. I havent used it or the rod a ton, but the reel is in this years line up. Almost wish I didn't see this, I didn't get to use it much last year and certainly coulda waited for this deal haha.

 

The rod is a rod, its the TP1 black, like I said not a whole of of use, but it seems beefy, no leader knots though, microwave guides don't like those. 

 

I was planning on getting a shimano or Daiwa on the next worthwhile sale, but this might make me change my mind... but I have zero use for another rod- got some to build still.

My ALX Deputy, Feather ML, more baits & t-shirt just arrived from TW. For some reason UPS is sending my SLX MGL & 2nd t-shirt on a west coast tour. I'm in southern Oregon and it's in Pacific Washington.

Bummer the price jumped overnight. With the stacked 15% off it's now around $242. Last night it was like $208. Still a good deal tho.

It’s not the Bait-wrx deal but Discount Tackle has all line 20% off this weekend.

FWIW, that is my favorite line of rods. I have a TP1B69MLFS with a NASCI 2500 on it that's my problem solver finesse rig. I had a TP1B72MH that I used for jigs and weighted plastics. The tip broke in a weird accident that was 100% my fault, and Lew's still warrantied it for me. I wish I had picked a different rod for the replacement, but that's on me.
