Spro Vortex reels on sale at Spro.com... are they any good?  They are around 60% off spinning and bait casting.  Never heard of them before.

It's fairly new - came out in 2023 - but Tackle Tour liked it, so there is that.

The Slayer rods are $40 - retail is $120. Spro is pretty reputable and the $120 rod is a very competitive price point, so if you need to fill out your arsenal this is probably a smokin good deal.

TT has a review up and they didn't hate it.

I was interested, kind of surprised me that they don't have the action listed, based on the review they stated at least for the one they reviewed moderate fast. I was thinking about picking a few up but when they want to charge me shipping I decided to pass. I would like some MH moderate rods at a good price point and was willing to try them out, website states free shipping over $100 but guess that doesn't apply to rods...for $40 I think it would be interesting to see how they compare to the Diawa AridX rods that I am using which are fast and again would like to get a couple that were moderate.

Thanks for posting...

For anyone interested, Rapala has a sitewide Labor Day sale that ends Monday.  Use LDS at checkout for 20% off.

To bad that they have virtually no colors in stock at least for the DT series I mean sheez why even have the sale. Stinks since I would pick up quite a few dt6, 8 and 10 but they have almost none in stock online and my local store is even worse...

Just checked = FishUSA has quite a selection of colors in DT-6/8/10. Not on sale, but if you need them, they probably have them.

I went to Dicks a couple of weeks ago, haven't been there in a long time.

The fishing section was almost non-existent, and what they had was badly disorganized.

They had a good deal going, might have been this one, but the stock was very low.

I'll probably never go there again for fishing.

Yeah and its really sad since thats what the original founders started it for, they had a large fishing department when that started...oh well, still going to go one day this weekend and see what they have.

I got this today too.  Ordered a couple.  I'll swing past there a day next week to grab them.
