I picked up a couple of the dobyn's spinning rods that were on sale and had a coupon on top of that. Smokin' deal. Shipped directly from dobyns and well packaged.

Dobyns is my favorite crankbait rod and I have 2 kadens (6104cb & 735cb) and 1 champ xp (736 glass). Having said that I can't figure out why they made that 734cb. Unless your favorite lure to throw is an LV 150 or you like to long bomb topwater poppers I don't get it...so I suppose what I'm getting at is it's not a shock to see that one listed for that cheap...although I will admit that's a pretty good deal at that point. In other news fish field has some interesting shimano and daiwa stuff on sale right now...including the adrenas from last year at 20% off (if you are looking for a drop shot rod my guess is that 7'2 model with a vanford on it might actually catch you some fish)...although ironically the thing that caught my eye was 25% off that daiwa fluorocarbon leader...for 100 yards I suspect that is a fair deal at that price.

I just saw they have two used rods Megabass Destroyer P5 BMG and FMJ for $499 used. Not bad combo price. Only 1 in quantity. (Went back and checked and saw 10 quantity but it might be glitched?)

I've bought a 9/10 used Loomis rod from them previously and besides not having tags it looked untouched. I know all the brands are different but Loomis at least also honors their 9/10 rods as brand new for warranty.

I’m very seriously considering the P5 rod offer right now. Two rods I’ve considered separately for 50% off.

I looked now and it says 6 in quantity. I wonder why they’d have this many of these used.

Seems to be constantly changing. When I first looked earlier it was the one p5 bundle and one NRX+ inshore bundle, now has 3 NRX+ bundles, 1 Shimano Poison ultima bundle, one Steez ags bundle, one Megabass valkyrie bundle and one Evergreen bundle. Had a few different variations between then and now as well. 

@chubaka they might be rods The Hook Up Tackle uses for display or maybe they demo them and toss a few lures on them before putting them up for sale -- I have purchased a few rods from a local tackle shop for about 50% off - for rods that they had on display or had used one time to demo

Can you provide some further info on the 9/10 warranty? I was under the understanding no used products were covered period.

Every manufacturer in their used rods section has a different policy, when they still sold st Croix those transfered as well. Their 9/10 Loomis rods have never technically been sold, they're demo or floor models so the serial has never been registered. Loomis accepts them as "new" rods and you can register them on the site for warranty like any other purchase.

9/10  rods from Megabass/Hook Up have ZERO warranty. Found out the hard way.

I only use high vis yellow but they had none in the weight that I use...lowest price I had seen and would have bought several. 

 

Update, they had the weight in white so I picked up some, wish they had more of the lighter weights would have bought more, great price.
