Mine was supposed to be here today by 2 pm but never made it to the status of "out for delivery" and is now stuck in NJ where it's been sitting for a day and a half. Not looking good.

My guess it wont show up today but again who knows and they have automated the call in, you cannot actually talk to anyone, great company just reduced to the worst...sad 

Amazon has Dobyns 1/8 Ayu Swimbaits jig heads for $1.79.  I also located an EBay dealer selling Daiwa Tatula 80’s for 119.99. 
I grabbed one.

If from Japan I have no idea what kind of tariff will be, ive been buying reels from Japan but once the deminimus was removed...ive not and will not do anything until I know what the cost is going to be...just FYI for stuff coming from Japan right now or really from anywhere.

I remember this seller. Not big but reliable. I bought a couple of Quantum reels from them. They used to, and still have really good prices for reels on sale, so I'd grab one if "needed"

BTW, it's even cheaper on their website: $105 for either left or right handed.

@Eric 26- I ordered one of the 7'6" Abu Garcia spinning rods from Sierra - my hope is that it arrives whole and not in pieces ! I will post once I receive it

We’ll have to wait and see.  FedEx updated the status late this afternoon to Monday delivery.  What is especially frustrating is the rods arrived 32hrs ago at the FedEx facility that is only 40 minutes from where I live.  Had I known they would change their mind, I would have driven and picked them up.  FedEx has become the Comcast of shipping services.

Hate to say it but it has happened to me multiple times with Fedex, they like lose stuff in their own warehouses. I had something like that got *cough* lost and they finally told me to have the vendor send another unit, then 2 weeks later it showed up. 

 

Hoping yours gets delivered on Monday!

Last night I received a change of status message which said something about them holding the item. Sounded bad. This morning that changed to a projected delivery window. Well, it showed up earlier than expected with zero damage to the tube thankfully. It might be the best packed rod I've ever received. So, all's well.

That’s awesome! I will agree that my rod was well packaged as well and I contend that it came straight from Abu Garcia that way. I also didn’t realize this but it turns out I have a relatively large Sierra not far from me and after talking to the store manager he informed me during the fishing “season” the store carries quite a bit of fishing related stuff including a good variety of rods. Im looking forward to next season already and were not even done with this season 😬

@F14A-B Did you or @KP Duty receive your rods yet?

That’s awesome now  come on and give us a couple photos. I posted mine in the “Latest rod & reel purchase” thread and I’m hoping you and the others do the same. Also curious how was your packaged? I will say without fishing it yet I’m pleased with the light weight and the action at least in hand and I’m hoping to get it out this week for a bit. 

I don’t need any more rods, if anything I’m a bit short on reels. But darn I have the 6’10” MH Veritas in my cart and I’m trying to talk myself out of it. Looks like too good a deal to pass up

The rods appear to have arrived intact, but I have no idea where.  I was out running errands with my daughter today and received notification that my package was delivered (after receiving notification yesterday it would be tomorrow).  I excitedly rushed through some of the remaining errands and postponed others to race back home and unwrap my rods.  As I pull into the driveway, I see only a box about 2’x 2’ x 30”.  My daughter says with a chuckle, “I thought you said they were 1pc rods.  It looks like they shipped them in pieces.”  Turns out FedEx delivered a box of cat food.  I checked the notification to make sure I hadn’t misread it.  I find a picture of my rods on a front porch that isn’t mine.   I’ve filed a claim, and the FedEx virtual assistant says they are working on it.  The good news, I guess, is the photo shows undamaged rod tubes standing up in a corner of the wrong porch.
