Just wanted to drop in and say hi to you all. I'm not as active 'round these parts anymore. Haven't bought anything in about 5 month. Haven't had the boat out in almost 5 months. Really sucks, but it'

Opposite of me. My son picked me up a handful of the 3/8 in Japan over the summer. No 1/2 there. I’ve been fishing a 3/8 regular or a 1/2 flex all summer. I’m excited to get some of the 1/2 at TW though…

Being that I am cheap I saw this in another thread and have ordered a few, https://bacustombaits.bigcartel.com/product/bladed-grass-jig

Not sure how long it will take to get them but interesting to find out how they fish.

That is what I heard. For some reason I thought 3/8 was heavier than 1/2. Shesh I need to go back to school and retake math class.....lol I guess it's time to stock up lol. I did get some OSP Metal Bladed Jig and will be trying between the two.

If you missed it, HUT had a release vid on the Grass Piece that said its assembly, painting, etc had moved to bigger scale production in China. I imagine that's why HUT still has stock and TW has a pile now too.

I got new old stock and some of the latest ones. I'll probably just fish the new ones now until I ruin or lose them :)

Not a sale per se but the grass piece looks to be on tackle warehouse right now. Someone please convince me to not get one or three.

I got an email a few days ago just to tell me they have grass pieces.  $19.99 for a bait that should cost $6.99.

I too finally got my 6’-10” medium heavy out recently. Although I didn’t catch any fish I did catch a rod/reel combo which has never happened to me before so there is that. I had a 1/2 ounce bladed jig tied on with no trailer and I felt like the rod was properly responsive as far as feeling the blades turning once I started the retrieve and that the fast action is on par with what I expected at least. I’m planning on getting a 3/8 ounce swim jig on it next and feel it’s a really nice rod at a really good price. Thanks again for sharing this deal @KP Duty, PS here’s a photo of my rod/reel catch 🤢IMG_5278.jpeg.37d9c86fd42481fccd3895bd212c4104.jpegIMG_5277.jpeg.cd6c0a408e07133c54b17f86d51fe448.jpeg

I wasnt able to get the boat out yesterday so i was walking the bank and found a rebel popr hanging from a tree so I retrieved that and then at another point looking down I see a jerkbait floating in the water willow....picked it up and it had no hooks but was a vision 110...was pretty gunky but cleaned up fine. I'm to cheap to buy megabass stuff so first vision 110 so thats pretty cool. Trying to figure out what the original hook weigh, I know @A-Jay puts KVD 1x, 2x strong #4 which i have 4 and 6 but seem to be to big but I have no wat to know what the original hooks weigh.

@bishoptf I use Luckycraft myself, a few Yozuri and a few Spro. I’ve used the Pointer series for years.. that’s cool you found a $25 dollar bait.. Pop R’s are solid also. As far as weight goes the hooks are very light some guys I’ve read keep em stock & like them fine.

Congrats on the cool bait find.

I use #4's on my 110 size jerkbaits to handle the size fish I catch on them.

I appreciate your advice in thinking I snagged a Shimano Combo but NO it’s a Shakespeare Combo which I will use as trade in value for the Bass Pro Spring Sale😃

Dicks has the Pro Pack Fat Swing Impact on sale.

Hell of a deal, though the tail fell out of mine on one bad cast. User error for sure but keep that extra tail. Wondering if there's a way I can secure it in place better.

Follow up, I probably need to start another thread on this subject but put on the kvd 1x,2x #4 and then tested in a bucket and it sank like a rock, lol. I know the water is warmer than I would be using and cooled the water down but not much difference. I then tried swapping them out with #6 kvd's and more of a slow sink, without any hooks she floats but probably going to stay with #6 until I can take it to the lake and play around with line and see what it does. My preference is suspend or very slow sink but will have to keep messing around with it. I do not see any cracks etc and its not filling with water so I do not believe that is an issue.

Not sure, I do not have any but I have heard they are decent. Depends on what you are looking for, I was looking that the buy one get one but the only rods I would be interested in they are oos, go figure. I think if you need some MH fast rods then not sure you would find anything better in that price range, imho. I am looking for MH moderate rods and just harder to find..

Mine came in from BA custom baits, quality is there, I walked over to the lake to throw it and see the action...its much more muted than a bladed jig. I do not have a grass piece to compare it to but looking at the pictures it is different in many ways. The blade appears to be a normal vibrating blade and is set further back. The hook appears to be smaller. My one concern is over blade placement being close to the hook and interfering with hook ups. Quality components, hand tied skirt, bait keeper and solid hook and paint job.

Will fish it some tomorrow and see if I get any takers but thought I would pass along.

Definitely keep us posted, I don't have any concern looking at it. Looks like it would interfere less than 85% of spinnerbaits, which have arms/blades at or past the hook bend
