Had a couple passengers on the boat today, I think they really enjoyed their ride along.

  • After a couple of years of being used to make the new movie "TOP GUN-2" this F-18 E  has just arrived @ our facility in Jacksonville Fl. for rework, fresh paint and being returned to the active fleet.

Having a heck of a time finding anything over 3.5, but a dozen like this makes waking up early worth it.

Our big, old rescue cat found a good use for an empty box the other day. Been sleeping in it near constantly for two days now. We don’t know exactly how old he is, figure he’s at least 10 years old, if he ends up snuffing it while napping in there, I figure I could just tape up the top and he’d be ready for his final nap.

Yea - Not sure if they actually canceled them here or not.

Doesn't really matter though because they (fireworks) are 'legal' here and the regional fireworks store is right up the road from us.

Additionally the gun shot factor has been way up this year as it is.

Either way a couple of our dogs really dislike all of that.

Apparently we had to drive through the land of Oz last night to get to one of our lakes. Actually, while we waited 15 or so minutes for this house to get out of the road, a lady approached us and had said she bought it from the Amish and was moving it down the road to her land. I’ve seen it all now.

Although a wild raptor, I feed him uncooked chicken 'everyday'

This bird is so spoiled, he rejects cooked chicken wings (True Story)

WOOD STORK

Not a common, nor particularly attractive bird.

This one was in the same area we've seen storks ~40 yrs prior (NE Lake Toho)

Pretty much an everyday thing around here.

Always surprised to hear the fireworks going off on Wed March 16th or the gunshots everyday

Working from home, I'll hear shots fired at 9 in the morning #goodole'boys #thingsthatgobang #TNlife

Here to ~

And hunting seasons seem like more of a 'recommendation' here than an actual law.

So if it's brown - it's down.

 Oh My.

Didn't catch a single thing this morning, but I did get to take this picture that makes it look like I have a fishing spot in Silent Hill.

Any evidence of shad flipping around on the banks there this morning?

Nosir. About the time I was packing up to head to the office, I saw/heard a couple bass breaking the surface after something, though.

In the mornings like that I only have about a half hour, so I don't expect much.

So-called Florida panthers are actually an isolated population of cougars

Got up early this morning and headed WAY out into Georgian Bay to try for a salmon. Didn’t get any, but did manage to find a nice rainbow and a few lakers. Sure was a nice calm morning to be out with the kid. There’s nothing quite  like watching the sun come up while your miles offshore.
