At least you guys had a decent runoff area. Poor Bean put it right into the wall a little while back. 2

Global Moderator 12poundbass Posted March 16 Global Moderator Share Posted March 16 It’s late winter here on Bass resource and all us old men have left to talk about is our cats! I never thought I’d turn into my dad, but here I am. 1
galyonj
In my defense, I'll talk about my cats when it's nice outside, too. I've subjected @TnRiver46 to discussions about the monsters we've let into our home while we're actually fishing. 1

Way north bass guy
@12poundbass, here’s another one for you😏. Our most handsome boy! We have a couple of these big Lilly’s in pots in our house and in the greenhouse, had em for years now. Every year about this time they send up one big, bright orange bouquet about the size of a basketball. A sure sign of more greenery to come for us.

Some do, some don't - depends on a lot of factors...how nutritive the soil is, water intake, general weather. Hot climates - like you got down there - kind of restrain the fruit growing...flowering crabs like cooler climates.

To be fair I know this wasn’t the best close up picture for ID purposes. We have this redbud on one side and a large crepe myrtle on the other. Redbud always flowers well before the crepe every year. 42 minutes ago, gimruis said: Whoa. Now that's my kind of "cat." We caught 5 that day between 35 and 50 pounds on super glass like conditions. Ya - they're fairly rare up here - the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum had to develop a special strain that would survive MN winters. I'm more use to crabapples and one strain which I've seen in my neighborhood looks almost identical to redbuds when in flower...'Perfect Purple' variety.
Super User Deleted account Posted March 17 Super User Share Posted March 17 My neighbor has a tree that flowers that color in the spring, but has drooping branches, very pretty and dramatic, but it only lasts a few days. Not sure what it is.

Another one we have that is the same way but doesn't droop is a Cherry Blossom. Absolutely beautiful, and sadly short lived-in terms of blooms.
